➼ Sale of tickets for the Republic Day parade and Beating Retreat will begin from January 2. According to the Defence Ministry, tickets can be purchased from Sena Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Jantar Mantar, Pragati Maidan and Rajiv Chowk metro station by showing original photo ID.

➼ Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra took over the Western Command of the Indian Air Force from Wednesday, January 1. He replaced Air Marshal Pankaj Sinha, who retired after over 39 years of service.

➼ Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the book release program as the chief guest in New Delhi on January 2. The book Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh: Throughthe Ages presents a history of three thousand years of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh in seven volumes.

➼ In the month of December last year, the total Goods and Services Tax- GST collection increased by 7.3 percent as compared to the same period of the year 2023 and it has reached  Rs one lakh 77 thousand crore .पिछले वर्ष दिसंबर महीने में कुल वस्तु और सेवाकर- GST संग्रह में, वर्ष 2023 की इसी अवधि की तुलना में 7.3 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई और यह एक लाख 77 हजार करोड़ रुपये हो गया है। 

➼ The Gujarat government has approved the creation of a new district called Vav-Thradby splitting the existing Banaskantha district in North Gujarat . This will be the 34th district of Gujarat, with its headquarters at Tharad.
गुजरात सरकार ने उत्तर गुजरात के मौजूदा बनासकांठा जिले को विभाजित करके वाव-थराद नामक एक नया जिला बनाने को मंजूरी दी है। यह गुजरात का 34वां जिला होगा, जिसका मुख्यालय थराद में होगा।

➼ Senior IPS officer of 1993 batch 'Vitul Kumar' has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He will replace IPS Anish Dayal Singh, who retired from the post of CRPF DG on December 31, 2024.
1993 बैच के वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी ‘वितुल कुमार’ को केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (CRPF) का नया महानिदेशक (DG) नियुक्त किया गया है। वह 31 दिसंबर, 2024 को CRPF डीजी के पद से रिटायर हुए आईपीएस अनीश दयाल सिंह की जगह लेंगे।

➼ The Railway Ministry will operate three thousand special trains for the Kumbh Mela Prayagraj 2025. Out of these, 560 trains will run on the ring rail route built in Prayagraj. The Maha Kumbh will be organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh from January 13 to February 26 .रेल मंत्रालय प्रयागराज महाकुंभ मेला 2025 (Kumbh mela Prayagraj 2025) के लिए तीन हजार विशेष रेलगाडि़यों का संचालन करेगा। इनमें से 560 रेलगाडियां प्रयागराज में बनाए रिंग रेल मार्ग पर चलेंगी। महाकुंभ का आयोजन 13 जनवरी से 26 फरवरी तक उत्तर प्रदेश के प्रयागराज में होगा।

➼ The Central Board of Direct Taxes-CBDT has extended the deadline for 'Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme' from December 31, 2024 to January 31, 2025. This will give taxpayers additional time to determine the amount due as specified in the scheme.केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड-CBDT ने ‘विवाद से विश्वास योजना’ की समय सीमा 31 दिसंबर, 2024 से बढ़ाकर 31 जनवरी, 2025 कर दी है। इससे करदाताओं को योजना में निर्दिष्ट देय राशि निर्धारित करने के लिए अतिरिक्त समय मिलेगा।

➼ Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held the sixth pre-budget consultation meeting with experts and representatives of the health and education sector in the capital New Delhi on Monday, 30 December.

➼ With the aim of expanding security and bilateral relations, the 18th edition of the India-Nepal military exercise 'Suryakiran' has started on Tuesday, 31 December, at Saljhandi in Rupandehi. Let us tell you that the Shri Jung Battalion of the Nepali Army and the 11th Gorkha Rifles of the Indian Army will participate in the two-week long training. The 17th edition of the joint exercise was held in Pithoragarh, India last year.

➼ The National Cadet Corps-NCC Republic Day Camp-2025 began on Monday, December 30 with Sarva Dharma Puja at Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi. A total of 2,361 cadets from all 28 states and 8 union territories are participating in the month-long camp.

➼ The Indian Space Research Organisation-ISRO has successfully launched the Space Docking Experiment (SPADEX) mission on Monday, December 30. ISRO's PSLV-C60 rocket has been launched with two spacecraft from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.

➼ Chess Grandmaster Ramesh Babu Vaishali has qualified for the knockout stage of the women's category of  the FIDE World Blitz Championship 2024. She is the only Indian player to cross the first hurdle of the competition in both the women's and open categories.

➼ Recently, Phase-44 census has started in Madhya Pradesh's Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve . In this, more than 1200 trap cameras have been installed at 640 places in 9 areas of the Tiger Reserve. After this census, the data will be collected and sent to the Wildlife Institute, Dehradun.

➼ Uttarakhand's tableau based on 'adventure sports' will be displayed on the path of duty in ' Republic Day Parade-2025' . Adventure sports like rock climbing, paragliding, bungee jumping, trekking will be displayed in this tableau.

➼ The profit of Indian banks has also increased for the sixth consecutive year in 2023-24. According to the report of the Reserve Bank of India, the financial position of Indian banks remains strong and this is also reflected in the steady increase in loans and deposits of banks.

➼ The country has produced the highest ever coal in 2023-24. Coal production in the year 2023-24 is 997.826 million tonnes as compared to 893.191 million tonnes in the year 2022-23 , which is about 11.71 percent more.

➼ The Indian Army contingent left for Nepal  on 29 December to participate in the 18th battalion level joint military exercise 'Exercise Surya Kiran' . This contingent consists of 334 soldiers. This exercise will be held in Saljhandi, Nepal from 31 December to 13 January 2025.
भारतीय सेना दल 29 दिसंबर को 18वें बटालियन स्‍तर के संयुक्‍त सैन्‍य ‘अभ्‍यास सूर्य किरण’ (Exercise Surya Kiran) में भाग लेने के लिए नेपाल रवाना हुआ है। इस दल में 334 सैनिक शामिल हैं। इस अभ्‍यास का आयोजन नेपाल के सलझंडी में 31 दिसंबर से 13 जनवरी 2025 तक होगा।

➼ The Central Government has released an amount of more than two thousand crore rupees for rural development in Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh under the ' 15th Finance Commission Grant' . According to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, more than one thousand 598 crore rupees have been released for Uttar Pradesh and more than 446 crore rupees for Andhra Pradesh.

It has been developed by Professor Naresh Bhatnagar and his team. This jacket is one of the lightest bullet proof jackets in the world and is capable of stopping more than one shot as per the Indian Standard (BIS) V and VI.

➼ In Madhya Pradesh, more than eight thousand houses have been built in Shivpuri district under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman). All essential facilities including tap water, electricity, roads and community needs have been provided in these houses.

➼ The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has extended the ban on derivative trading in seven agricultural products, including wheat and moong, till January 2025 to rein in prices. The ban will also apply to non-basmati paddy, gram, crude palm oil, mustard seeds and their derivatives and soybean and its derivatives.

➼ The grand finale of the 7th edition of Smart India Hackathon was held on 12 December at the National Institute of Technology-NIT Srinagar. NIT Srinagar, one of the 51 nodal centers across the country, hosted the grand finale for the first time.

➼ According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, retail inflation in the country has decreased in the month of November this year. The retail inflation rate has come down from 6.2 percent in the previous month to 5.4 percent in November.
