My own #expectations

I realised people who showed the most love never felt love themselves.

So they end up caring for others more than themselves.

Hoping that they receive it back, but they never do.

They always hide their pain, telling everyone only half the story, and hiding it all from their parents.

Because they don't want to a be burden.

I wish someone had told me earlier that I wasn't kind, I was overly empathetic.

And that was a form of unkindness to myself.
