🇫🇮🇸🇪 FINLAND AND SWEDEN PREPARE CITIZENS FOR WAR

Millions of people in Sweden started receiving copies of a pamphlet advising them how to prepare and cope in the event of war or another unexpected crisis.

Finland has also just launched a website and media campaign on “preparing for incidents and crises,” urging citizens to stock up on essentials.

Sweden’s Civil Defence Minister Carl-Oskar Bohlin said last month that as the global context had changed, information to Swedish households had to reflect the changes too.

U.S. President Joe Biden approved Ukraine using U.S. weapons to strike targets inside Russia that were attacking the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed on Friday.

"Over the past few weeks, Ukraine came to us and asked for the authorization to use weapons that we're providing to defend against this aggression, including against Russian forces that are massing on the Russian side of the border and then attacking into Ukraine. And that went right to the President, and as you've heard, he's approved use of our weapons for that purpose," @ SecBlinken said.

The new policy will allow Ukrainian forces to use artillery and fire short-range rockets from HIMARS launchers against command posts, arms depots and other assets on Russian territory that are being used by Russian forces to carry out its attack on Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine.

This doesn’t give Ukraine permission to use longer-range ATACMS surface-to-surface missiles inside Russia.
