We are writing this letter to express our concern regarding the new test rule. These new changes that the phone should be used as a camera have created many problems for examinees in Iran and other countries such as Afghanistan that have problems with the internet speed and necessary equipments. We don't have high-speed internet in Iran and Afghanistan, and sharing the internet with another phone weakens it in a way that it can't operate properly. Most test takers have only one phone to use as an internet provider, and with this new situation, it will be very difficult and expensive to get another mobile phone with internet. The Duolingo center should be responsible for ensuring the security of the test, not asking the test taker to do additional work, which will cause stress and confusion and many side problems. We request the Duolingo center to cancel the new changes to facilitate the test process and not make it difficult for test takers.

Also, this process of using the phone as a camera brings many problems. For example, the phone may be called and due to some problems, it may end up charging or turn off. It is almost impossible to provide all these things together and it makes the examiners turn to other tests.

In addition, the phone may fall over during the test. Usually, during the exam, the table and the place of the exam move and this causes double stress. Instead of focusing on the exam, you should be careful of the phone so that it doesn't move or get fallen over. It's like a joke that makes you laugh. I wish it was allowed to hire one person to hold the phone or to do the test with one hand and hold the phone with the other hand.

دوستان این تغییرات جدید باعث ایجاد مشکلات زیادی از جمله فراهم کردن گوشی و اینترنت و..... شده. به همین خاطر یک متن اعتراض نوشتم که ارسال کنید به این ایمیل که این رو کنسل کنن. همچنین تا مدتی آزمون ندید که تعداد آزمون ها کم بشه و در این پروسه تجدید نظر بشه. با همون ایمیلی بفرستید که باهاش قراره آزمون بدید. واقعا دردسره این موبایل و تنظیم اون و اینکه مشکلی پیش نیاد براش اعصاب خوردکنه.
در قسمت موضوع هم میتونید objection to new rule بزنید.

در آزمون اگر next نزنیم آیا جواب ما ذخیره می شود؟

بله. در قسمت های مختلف آزمون، اگر next نزنیم جواب به صورت‌ اتوماتیک ذخیره می شود و نیاز به زدن دکمه next نیست. دکمه next برای بخش هایی که زودتر از تایم داده شده، آن را تمام کرده ایم می‌تواند مورد استفاده قرار گیرد و به بخش بعدی برویم.

توجه داشته باشید در بخش read aloud اگر دکمه ریکورد رو نزنید صدای شما ضبط نمیشه و بدون بدست آوردن نمره وارد بخش بعدی می شوید.

علاوه بر انسان سیستم تصحیح (grading engine) هم آزمون رو مورد برسی دقیق قرار می‌دهد.

The grading engine is trained to understand your English  proficiency just like expert human raters. Some of the aspects it evaluates include:   

● the correctness of your grammar (grammatical accuracy)

● the variety and level of your grammar (grammatical complexity)

● the level of vocabulary used (lexical sophistication)  ● the variety of word choice (lexical diversity)  

● how well you answer the question that was asked (task relevance)  

● how much you can say or write in a limited time (fluency)   

● the pronunciation and pace (acoustic features; this one is for speaking questions only)   

Keep in mind that although the test is scored by computer algorithms, multiple human proctors will see video recordings of your  responses.
