A comparison of blended learning, distance learning, and flipped classroom:

Blended learning: A combination of face-to-face and online learning, often used in higher education. Students attend classes in person and also complete online work and assignments.

Distance learning: A type of education where students and teachers are not in the same physical location. Courses are typically delivered through online platforms, and students can access them from anywhere with an internet connection.

Flipped classroom: A teaching method where students watch lectures or other course materials at home, then use class time for activities and discussions.

Episodic memory

Thinking about the Part 3 questions in terms of your own life and experience will help you to quickly come to a decision about what you think about it (i.e., whether you agree/disagree/think something is important, etc.) and can also give you a personal example to use as evidence to support this view.

For example, if I was asked whether I think cost or effort is more important when giving a gift, the memory I shared in Part 2 response is likely to come to my mind:

Q: What is more important when it comes to giving a gift, cost, or effort?

A: I think effort is more important because you can often get a lot of joy from even a simple or cheap gift if you know the person has put a lot of thought or effort into it. Presents my children made or gave me when they were small are the ones I remember the most and mean the most to me. Far more than anything expensive.

KEY IDEA: Your episodic memory can help you think of personal examples that can help the listener to fully understand your point.

Coherence and cohesion simply explained:

Coherence: Coherence refers to the logical organization and flow of ideas within a piece of writing. A coherent text is well-structured, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. The ideas presented in the text should be connected and support a central theme or argument. In a coherent text, the reader can easily follow the writer's thoughts and understand their intended message.

Cohesion: Cohesion refers to the way sentences and ideas are linked together to create a unified and consistent piece of writing. Cohesive devices, such as pronouns, transition words, and conjunctions, help to connect ideas and create a smooth flow between sentences and paragraphs. Cohesion helps to maintain clarity and ensures that the reader can follow the writer's line of reasoning.

Together, coherence and cohesion help to create clear, well-organized, and understandable texts. They play an important role in effective communication, both in written and spoken language.
