Two weeks ago, the first case of polio was detected in Gaza for 25 years, leaving a ten month-old child partially paralyzed and forcing decisive action from the World Health Organization.

Doctors were dispatched to Gaza with over a million doses of polio vaccine, with the aim of vaccinating 640,000 children in record time.

ISRAEL UNREST: Thousands Protest Netanyahu Over 6 Hostages Killed Amid IDF Raid w/ Elijah J. Magnier

The streets in Israel were flooded with thousands of protesters after Netanyahu once again refused a ceasefire and hostage deal, and attempted to retrieve hostages through IDF raids. After the last attempt led to Israel killing hundreds of Palestinians, in order to rescue four hostages, Hamas vowed to change their tactics and return hostages "in coffins" if Israel came close to rescuing them through military raids.

Veteran Journalist Elijah J. Magnier noted that the current unrest in Israel is yet another reminder of why Iran has yet to retaliate for Israel's assassination of Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh—because they know that any kind of attack would provide a reason for Israelis to come together and forget about the policies of their leadership that are currently tearing them apart.

FBI Arrests N.Y. Gov. Kathy Hochul's Former Deputy Chief of Staff for Acting as Secret Agent of Chinese Government

A former top aide to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was arrested Tuesday (Sept. 3) on federal charges of acting as a secret agent of the Chinese government, authorities said.

Linda Sun, 41, is accused of using her high-ranking positions in state government to serve the interests of the Chinese government and the Chinese Communist Party in exchange for millions of dollars. Her husband, Chris Hu, 40, was also arrested in the alleged scheme.

Sun was charged with violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, visa fraud, alien smuggling and money laundering. Hu was charged with money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and misuse of means of identification.

Both pleaded not guilty Tuesday afternoon. Sun was set to be released on a $1.5 million bond, her husband on a $500,000 bond.

Sun worked in state government for roughly 15 years, holding positions in the administration of then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo before becoming Hochul’s deputy chief of staff, according to her LinkedIn profile.

☄️ ?? The 2024 US election has largely focused on the highly divisive issue of abortion and reproductive rights. We should think critically about why this is.

There are much bigger issues for Americans, in my view, such as our continued involvement in the Middle East and Ukraine, immigration, digital IDs and much more.

The Democrats had opportunities to codify Roe v. Wade into national law, and they did not do it. It's been said many times (and it's true) that the intent is to not solve the issue but to continuously campaign on it. Issues like this are brought to the forefront often to divide the public and pit people against each other when convenient (like now, during an election season).

Media coverage has an important role in shaping the public’s perception on what issues are most important. The public will consider an issue to be of greater importance with the more media attention it receives.
