St. Gertrude the Great Chaplet

Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great that the following prayer would release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was later extended to include living sinners as well.

”ETERNAL FATHER, I OFFER THEE THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THY DIVINE SON, JESUS, IN UNION WITH THE MASSES SAID THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TODAY, FOR ALL THE HOLY SOULS IN PURGATORY, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.”

*Say this chaplet using regular Rosary beads. Begin with the Apostles’ Creed, one Our Father, three Hail Marys and a Glory Be to the Father just as with Our Lady’s Rosary.

On the five decades, say the above Prayer for the Holy Souls on each Hail Mary bead and the Our Father on each separator bead between the decades.*

Growing up a modernist, we all were practical Universalists. That means, we really didn’t think anyone went to hell. (This is totally false, of course.) But because of that, most of us saw All Saints (1 Nov) as the happy day and All Souls (2 Nov) as the sad day. But St. Alphonsus Liguori (who teaches most Catholics go to hell—not to mention all those of false religions) also says basically that we on earth have a lot to admire for the Faithful Departed in Purgatory: They cannot lose the kingdom of heaven, but we on earth can lose it. Thus, even though I’m obviously not saying to refrain from praying for the faithful departed for all of November (we absolutely should pray this month and all months for our loved ones deceased without canonizing them) we should definitely realize that All Saints and All Souls are BOTH groups of the saved. That is the glory of these two days. I’m not saying they’re equal (for one has the Beatific Vision and the other doesn’t) but both groups are proven to already be the elect. We on earth are merely striving for that, so we should admire both these groups (All Saints and All Souls) with all our hearts, while still praying TO the former and FOR the latter.

*Chauvinism as perversion of patriotism

The main shortcomings in the area of patriotism are usually associated with the name of the commandant of the port of Rochefort in Napoleonic France, who carried his love of country so far that he had himself wrapped in the national flag in his coffin. The name of Nicholas Chauvin was later used to coin the word "chauvinism" to denote extremes and excesses of patriotism, which so often inflame minds, cloud judgments, and especially shift the focus from positive duties towards the country to a negative attitude towards other nations - especially those with which it is in historical conflict.

It does not take much to prove that chauvinism can contaminate the soul by constantly maintaining hatred and contempt for one's neighbors. But from the point of view of healthy national interests it is also highly harmful, because it blinds and makes one see the enemies of one's nation in a false light, because one does not see their virtues, which they often do not lack and which are the most dangerous in the struggle with them.

The Christian sense should therefore watch over this, so that chauvinism does not extinguish in souls the Christian love of neighbor, which is obligatory towards all people, i.e. it does not allow anyone to be excluded. With Christian love one should also love the enemies of the nation and, if circumstances demand it, show them this love without refusing one's help.

It is extremely important here to understand that true Christian humility is also obligatory in relations between nations, this positive humility, which is able to find in the opponent what is good in him, worthy of praise and imitation, in a word: what is divine in him, before which one should bow one's head. In struggles between nations it brings great benefit because it protects against passion, so dangerous to the clarity of judgment, and against the megalomania that has led to the ruin of many a nation.*

I find it hard to understand this thinking. The FSSP is formed of priests who rejected the SSPX’s theology in preference to accept Vatican 2 and the Pope’s authority, making peace with the existence of the Novus Ordo Missae. They are not revolutionaries, and they don’t need to be investigated; they are already subject to the Roman authorities. If anything, they exist to offer an approved alternative to “schismatic” traditionalist groups.

The essential thing to the Modernist is submission to the Modernist theology.

"Doing what all Catholics did everywhere before a committee of men cooked up a new “Mass” in the 1960’s has to be rendered unacceptable in order to enable the creation of a new religion which assumes the place of the perpetual Church and Magisterium with the immemorial Mass handed down together along with everything else that always was Catholic.

Enablers like those who say “Father doesn’t like the pope” or “I’d rather go to a reverent novus Ordo than an irreverent TLM” are perpetuating red herrings and straw men and simply seek to stave off any questioning or slightest doubt that might cause the discomfort that always characterizes the faith with its many crosses which the Lord Himself promised us.

The Catholic Faith is not a protection against the Cross. It is the divine means given us so that we may in a holy and saving way bear our own crosses, which are present in every human life, out of love for God and for the sake of our own salvation. The comfort of the local novus Ordo parish with its liturgical abuses, no matter the panoply of beautiful and reassuringly prosperous physical plant, numerous modern conveniences and heavily bloated lay staff and “ministries”, is displeasing to God and is an avoidance if not outright rejection of the cross which inevitably comes to those who refuse to compromise the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic faith of the Church of Christ.

It is yet another scandal that bishops are closing and selling off church buildings by the score rather than permit priests to offer the immemorial Mass in them. This while accepting blood money from the government to collude in the illegal immigrant scam and DEI agenda.

The modernists find it insufferable that any priest anywhere who is not already “canonically irregular” offers the TLM exclusively and this is why the FSSP must be investigated (read “persecuted”). The Vatican hegemony will as a result of the “investigation” either “find” something wrong or order the priests to also offer the novus ordo. When and if they refuse to follow this unjust order there will be canonical penalties."
