Jury of 2nd Iranian Film Festival New York

We are trilled to present our fabulous jury ensemble of #irffny2024 to you:

Gelareh Kiazand: A freelance director of photography, director, and producer. Her extensive work, including documentaries in diverse locations, has earned her three News & Doc Emmy awards and a Peabody. Notably, she became Iran's first female DP for a fiction feature after the 1979 revolution.
Marissa Velez: A Director and Creative Producer known for commercial films, including an Emmy-winning PSA and her directorial debut feature. Currently, she's in pre-production on a project with Killer Films.
Nariman Hamed: An award-winning film director and producer with a rich history of collaboration with notable figures. His short film "Until We Meet Again" has earned multiple international awards, and he is actively producing a film about skateboarding legend Salman Agah.

Sierra Urich: A filmmaker and visual artist with a BFA from RISD, recognized in Doc NYC's 2023 40 Under 40. Urich, an editor and director, has received various honors and awards, including multiple wins for her debut feature "Joonam," currently making waves on the festival circuit.

The 2nd Iranian Film Festival New York takes place at IFC Center from Jan 25-30 2024
