Position: Quality Assurance Manager 
Reported to: Food Chemist Consultant and/or General Manager

Beka Food Manufacturing overview
Beka food manufacturing industries has been working on food production. Currently, we are on start-up of new biscuit factory. We hence, invite qualified applicants for the following vacant position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assuring quality though the whole process in factories, starting from the raw material inspection to consumption.
Audit suppliers or manage internal audits.
Run trials of new products - either alongside or together with product development
Coordinate launches of new products.
Deal with any customer complaint investigations or product issues.
Compile, check and approve product specifications and labelling.
Undertake long-term projects with other departments, such as reducing waste by improving efficiency.
In collaboration with branding and marketing work on packaging innovation and technology.
Conduct experiments and produce sample products.
Design the processes for making products with a consistent flavour, colour and texture in large quantities.
Build relationships with suppliers and customers.
Ensure products are profitable.
Develops performance indicators regarding HACCP and GMP. 
Testing and examining samples.
Generating new product ideas and recipes as well as Scale up processes for the production of biscuits.
Modifying and improving existing recipes (modify existing products and processes and develop new ones.
Liaising with marketing staff (research current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts).
Ensuring that strict hygiene food safety standards are met.
Identifying and choosing row material from suppliers.
Monitoring the production formulation.
Prepare product costing based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products.
Coordinates with HRD in hiring and training reporting staff.
Ensures that the necessary man-power, equipment, and facilities are organized for production and maintenance operations.
Sets production and performance targets in consultation with the COO and based on the overall operational and strategic plan.
Develops periodic production plans (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and shift) through master production schedules and ensures the implementation of the same.
Ensure the preparation of inputs plan such as Materials Requirement Planning on a timely basis.
Closely works with the Production department in setting the quality standards of products and monitor production process.
Closely works with Marketing and Sales Team to develop/design different products.
Monitors operation expenses and make every effort to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
Establishes critical control points to ensure product safety and quality; ensure inspections and tests are made accordingly and records are maintained for follow-up.
In collaboration with Quality Control Manager, ensures that appropriate levels of materials and product safety, factory hygiene, and people safety are maintained.
Ensures equipment and machinery are operated and maintained in accordance with the required standards.
Periodically conducts performance review of reporting staff to identify performance gaps or outstanding performance and take appropriate action; ensure periodic performance for the entire factory staff.
Coordinates with HRD in hiring and developing and designing appropriate training program to enhance staff skills in the production area.
Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
Ensure site compliance to all labour, safety, and environmental regulations.
Writing reports depend on the hierarchs of the factory
