Trump: "I'm Leaving It Up To" The "Very Beautiful Process" Today At The Supreme Court
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/02/08/trump_we_saw_a_beautiful_process_today_at_the_supreme_court.html
Former President Trump commented on oral arguments this morning at the Supreme Court (https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/02/08/full_replayhighlight_supreme_court_oral_argument_on_president_trumps_colorado_ballot_eligibility.html) about whether he will be eligible for the presidential ballot in Colorado, saying he enjoyed watching the "beautiful process."
"The Supreme Court today, I thought it was a very beautiful process. I hope that democracy in this country will continue...Every one of these cases you see comes out of the White House, it comes out of Biden. It's election interference," Trump said from Mar-a-Lago. "Can you take the person that's leading everywhere and say, 'Hey, we're not going to let you run?' ... I think that's pretty tough to do, but I'm leaving it up to the Supreme Court."

Listen to the full replay of Thursday's Supreme Court oral arguments over whether Donald Trump can remain on the ballot in Colorado, where the state's Supreme Court ruled that he violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment by committing an "insurrection."
In arguments lasting beyond 90 minutes, both conservative and liberal justices raised questions of whether Trump can or should be disqualified because of his efforts to challenge his loss in the 2020 election, resulting in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
This page will be updated with highlight clips, transcripts and more info as the arguments continue.

Trump Attorney: If Colorado Ruling Is Allowed To Stand We're Not Going To Have A Presidency
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/02/08/trump_attorney_if_colorado_ruling_is_allowed_to_stand_were_not_going_to_have_a_presidency.html
Trump attorney Boris Epshteyn on Tuesday talked to Steve Bannon about the Colorado decision to strip Donald Trump off the ballot: "If this ruling is allowed to stand we're not going to have a presidency in this country because every president is going to be absolutely debilitated because they're going to be worried that their political opponents are going to wrongfully attack them and wrongfully indict them just as has happened with President Trump. So this decision cannot stand, President Trump and his team are going to fight this decision and it was fully and absolutely expected and now it's on to the next steps in order to make sure that the presidency is safe and America is safe."
Labor's Day
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2023/09/04/labors_day_149708.html
Just as Wall Street has started to become hopeful, if not giddy, about the potential for artificial intelligence to boost corporate America's productivity in inestimable ways and Hollywood has become despondent about the impact for what the technology might have on its "creatives," the organized labor movement in the United States seems to be having something of a renaissance. This is after the ranks of private sector union membership as a share of the total labor force has dropped steadily from the 1970s, when it approached 30%, to a mere 4.5% today. In fact, there are now more public sector...
Bill Maher: The Woke Believe In Race First And Foremost, Like The KKK
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2023/09/03/bill_maher_the_woke_believe_in_race_first_and_foremost_like_the_kkk.html
Bill Maher and Joe Rogan talk about how "woke" ideology is different from liberalism during a conversation last week (https://open.spotify.com/episode/6ybdcNPGRMRIYTwXnLVE9w).
JOE ROGAN: You are like a 90's liberal. Liberals back when they were more reasonable before they became leftists. And now every liberal has to be a leftist. If you want to be on the team, you have to subscribe to the most fringe ideas that the team is promoting. I get in trouble with that too... I didn't change, everybody else changed. It got really weird, what you're allowed to disagree with and not disagree with.
BILL MAHER: I'm always trying to make the case that liberal is a different animal than woke. Because it is. You can be woke with all the nonsense that now implies, but don't say that somehow it is an extension of liberalism. It is most often an undoing of liberalism. You can have your points of view and your positions, but don't try to piggyback on what I have always believed.
I believe, as liberals do, in a color-blind society. The goal is to not see race at all anywhere for any reason. That is what liberals believed, all the way through Obama, going back to Kennedy, and Martin Luther King. That's not what the woke believe. The woke believe race is first and foremost the thing you should always see everywhere, which I find interesting because that used to be the position of the Ku Klux Klan, that we see race first and foremost everywhere.
You can have that position, but don't say it is a liberal position.
Andrea Mitchell: Joe Biden Is Most Concerned About Losing Key Ally In Mitch McConnell
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2023/09/03/andrea_mitchell_joe_biden_is_most_concerned_about_losing_key_ally_in_mitch_mcconnell.html
NBC's Andrea Mitchell offers this opinion on the relationship between President Joe Biden and Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell on this week's "Meet The Press" roundtable (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2023/09/03/meet_the_press_panel_mcconnell_has_an_unusually_strong_grip_on_senate_republicans.html).
"It's Mitch McConnell who has been saying openly to the House that he didn't agree to their spending levels that they had changed from the previous budget agreement. So Mitch McConnell is the key to any kind of bipartisan action up there," Mitchell said.
ANDREA MITCHELL: I think the only person more concerned about [McConnell's] future is Joe Biden because the future of a government potential shutdown, of any kind of agreement, it's Mitch McConnell who has been saying openly to the House that he didn't agree to their spending levels that they had changed from the previous budget agreement. So Mitch McConnell is the key to any kind of bipartisan action up there.
But I think – in fairness, I don't think it's age or the concussion. In reading what the neurologists are saying, and they haven't examined him, but from a lot of symptoms that they see in his eyes and in the way he responded he does need medical help because recurrent, if it's a seizure or a small stroke, a TIA, you need help in order to -- there's medication. But this kind of high-pressure job is not the place – not the way to go.

Pennsylvania's Playbook for Democrats
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/2023/07/04/pennsylvanias_playbook_for_democrats_602318.html
The pivotal political battleground of Pennsylvania is demonstrating that there's still a critical mass of Trump-supporting swing voters that will back the right type of Democrat under certain circumstances.
