Why do some people always want to buy new things to replace old ones?

Well, there are a few reasons why people always seem to want the latest and greatest. On a personal level, purchasing new items often brings a sense of excitement and satisfaction, providing a temporary boost in mood. There’s also considerable pressure from advertising and trends, constantly promoting the idea that newer products are better, more efficient, or more fashionable. Additionally, there’s a growing culture of consumerism where owning the latest items is linked to status and success. Economically, as disposable income increases, people are often tempted to indulge in replacing old items, even if they are still functional. Moreover, technological advancements often make newer versions of products significantly better, making the older versions seem less appealing.

The process begins with a solar panel, where sunlight is converted into electricity.

This electricity is then directed to a converter, where it is transformed into a usable form for the pump.

Next, the electricity powers a pump located in an underground well, where water is drawn up and pushed through a pipe.

The water is then transported to a tank, where it undergoes a filtration process to remove impurities.

Finally, the filtered water flows through a pipe to a tap, where it is released into a moveable container for easy collection and transportation.

در ضمن سوالات آزمون کاغذی امروز رو تا فردا براتون میزارم و نکته جالب اینکه متن ۱ و ۲ آزمون ریدینگ رو در آرشیو سوالاتم داشتم

Thank you for your responses. It truly means a lot to me.

Honestly, when I first read the text, I was torn between True and Not Given. However, after analyzing the passage more carefully, I chose Not Given rather than True. The passage explicitly mentions the strategy of placing expensive branded products at eye level and cheaper ones lower down, but it does not state that the purpose of placing cheaper products lower down is to minimize their likelihood of being bought.

به سوال چالشی دیگه از یک متن اخیر آزمون. به نظر شما جواب این سوال True, False, یا Not Given؟ توی کامنت نظرتون رو با دلیل بهم بگین.
QUESTION: Cheaper products are placed on lower shelves to minimise the likelihood that they will be bought.

PASSAGE: There are also numerous ways stores get shoppers to choose particular products. For example, stores encourage customers to buy expensive branded products by arranging them at eye-level, with cheaper ones lower down.

The best way to teach children to cooperate is through team sports at school.
To what extent do you agree or disagree? (17 August 2024)

Teaching children to cooperate is a fundamental aspect of their development, and many argue that team sports at school are the most effective way to instill this value. While I agree that team sports play a significant role in fostering cooperation, I believe it is not the sole method and should be complemented by other educational strategies.

Team sports undoubtedly provide an excellent environment for teaching cooperation. In sports like football, basketball, or volleyball, students must work together towards a common goal, learning to communicate effectively, understand their teammates' strengths and weaknesses, and support each other. These activities naturally promote a sense of teamwork, as the success of the team depends on the collaboration of all its members. Moreover, the competitive yet structured environment of school sports helps children learn to manage conflicts, an essential component of cooperation, as they navigate differing opinions and strategies within a team.

However, while team sports are valuable, they are not the only or necessarily the best method to teach cooperation. Not all children are athletically inclined or enjoy sports, and forcing participation in such activities could lead to disengagement or resentment. Alternative methods, such as group projects in academic subjects, drama and music productions, or even community service initiatives, can also effectively teach cooperation. These activities cater to a broader range of interests and skills, ensuring that all students, regardless of their athletic ability, have the opportunity to develop their cooperative skills.

In conclusion, while I agree that team sports are an effective way to teach children to cooperate, they should not be viewed as the sole method. A holistic approach that includes a variety of cooperative activities will more comprehensively cater to the diverse needs and interests of all students. (288 words)
