Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said:

Its remedy:

?Seeking refuge in Allāh.

?Continuously supplicating and praying to Him.

?Learning the prescribed supplications and choosing the times when prayers are likely to be answered, such as:
- The last part of the night.
- The times between the Adhan and Iqamah.
- During sujud.
- After obligatory prayers.

?Adding to this, istighfār, for whoever seeks forgiveness from Allah and then repents to Him, He will grant him good enjoyment for a specified term.

?Adopting a routine of Dhikr (remembrance of Allāh) in the morning and evening, and before sleeping.

?Being patient with the obstacles and distractions that arise, for soon Allāh will support him with a spirit from Him, and He will inscribe faith in his heart.

?Striving to perfect the obligatory prayers, both inwardly and outwardly, as they are the pillar of the Deen.

?Letting his frequent phrase be: "There is no power nor strength except with Allāh, the Most High, the Great," (لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم) for with it:
- He can bear heavy burdens.
- He can face formidable challenges.
- He can attain lofty states, and he will not tire of supplication.
