also this should go without saying, but pls dont harass these people even pillow pup

I genuinely dont think ill be commissioning people anymore, these were not only real artists but they were friends of my friends, and for this to be done 3 times in a row from people not associated with each other is insane. Im very worried about this problem in this community, maybe ive just gotten unlucky but at this point ive lost hundreds of dollars.
If your an artist, please only take on what you can handle. Be truthful to ur clients and to yourself. Have good business practices that protect urself and ur client. And if you're commissioning someone, look into them and their queue. Be safe out there yall

Im gonna be open and honest and say im fairly overwhelmed...

not with work, my workload is manageable and my queue isnt large at all. and the majority of people who have commissioned me would agree my turn around time is a lot faster than most.
My issue right now and for a few months now is taking in small favors for people and clients checking in on their artwork out of curiosity.
Typically I really dont mind these things, I love building connections with yall and when I can help out or chat I absolutely love to- unfortunately now isnt that time and ive been stressed with how many small "tasks" I have in a day.

If I owe art to you- I kindly request that you please dont ask about the artwork unless youre worried about it for some reason. I have a queue list for a reason and I definitely have not forgotten about your commission!

About small talk- I love talking to you guys and always encourage yall to dm me to chat. But with that being said PLEASE try to be understanding if I dont respond- I hate to leave yall on read, a good amount of the time I am busy when I see it and forget to respond when I have the time and energy to. I am trying to get a better habit of not opening them until I know ill be able to respond in an appropriate way.

As of recently ive even dropped a good amount of irl friendships due to being overly demanding and taking it personal when Im not available. While this is really upsetting to me as I value my friendships, it makes it really easy to let go of them when I feel punished for something I cannot control.

I work for a good amount of time during the day, and when im not working I am spending quality time with my boyfriend who I live with, even then the things that we do together have mainly been compromised to sharing music while I work and he's doing his thing.

I hope yall understand- This post is NOT to shame ANY of you absolutely not!!! In reality, I feel very guilty for how I must seem to all of you and I wanted a chance to get this off of my chest. I appreciate yall more than you know ❤️

BUT after those suits are done, gonna close suits and work on a premade suit, ill work on commissions inbetween!
