We had to navigate completely impassable terrain. While this was not ideal, it was to our advantage as no one would check there. However, we moved much slower due to the difficulty of the terrain. As a result, our original seven-day route stretched to eleven days. During the first 24 hours, I lost my left contact lens and my friend lost his trekking pole in the river. For the rest of the journey, I wore old glasses that were in "slightly worn" condition and he used a stick he found in the forest. We were very lucky with the weather. All the days were sunny and it rained only for a total of three hours. So, we slept in tents only for the first few days and then on roll matts in sleeping bags. It was warm and dry. In comparison, some of the people we meet now in Romania had to walk under a downpour for five days in a row.
We bought enough camping food for ten days. My friend took three extra just because he had some at his place. During the hike, we missed two meals because we weren't hungry, so we ate them in Romania. We also had all sorts of snacks and bars. For water, we brought a filter and two bottles of Morshinskaya water. One for dirty water and one for filtered water. There were streams everywhere, so the production of Carpathian water was in full force. But what we really missed was coffee or tea. I was tired of drinking just water. Before that, I had not eaten meat for several years, but, in fact, i haven't had any aversion to it. Still I needed a serious reason to start eating it again, as to not lose my bragging rights for nothing. The reason was found. On August 14th, I ate couscous with chicken.
I saved some money on shoes, but on the third day, the shoes fell apart into independent republics due to moisture. The insoles slid away from the shoes, it only stopped infuriating when I stopped feeling my feet. Tape didn't help, so keep in mind to take some superglue with you. On the tenth day, we had already encountered dropped items, meaning we were walking in the right direction. The most threatening thing that was in that area was a helicopter that flew along the road on schedule and, through the speaker, persuaded people not to flee Ukraine. Not too convincing. On the last day, we've had symbolic Ukrainian borsch for breakfast. This is a special edition of "Heads or Tails", so instead of one hundred dollars, I hid five hryvnas. Look for them and take them away. With that, I left Ukraine. I don't name specific locations and don't show the whole experience, so as not to jeopardize the lives of future pilgrims. Perhaps someday there will be more material."
A little comment. It's interesting how this guy is incessantly referencing video games - a form of escapism - and that one Ukrainian TV show 'Head or Tales' which is designed for one thing only - to show people how to leave the Ukraine with little to no money in your pocket. Also, he made references to DuoLingo that i cut for the sake of brevity. I'm glad that it worked out for him, and I'm sure that it was a very exciting journey. Too bad that yet another Russian had to become a nomad with no country to call his home and only a smartphone to his name. Still, it beats dying for Zelensky!

‘I am 100 and five months old now. I am still young’: Vladimir Putin gives highest award to WWII veteran from Dagestan
A 100-year-old veteran WWII from Dagestan, to Ibragim-Pasha Sadykov, received the Hero of the Russian Federation medal from Vladimir Putin. It is the highest honorary title in the country.
During a noticeably cheery speech and a conversation with the President, Sadykov complained that he tried to enlist again, for the special operation, but draft officials had sent him home, saying the cutoff age for joining the military is just 60.
