Artists including actress and writer #IssaRae and television producer #ShondaRhimes have cut ties with the Kennedy Center after President #DonaldTrump took over as chairman Wednesday, days after he announced a plan to terminate the organization’s board.

Rae announced on her Instagram Story she canceled a sold-out show at the #KennedyCenter because of what she called an “infringement on the values of an institution that has faithfully celebrated artists of all backgrounds.”

Tourists in the popular Portuguese city of Albufeira may soon be banned from wandering its streets in swimwear, or face a hefty fine.

The beachside city in the southern Algarve region has revised its code of conduct, explicitly prohibiting people from being in a state of partial or complete nudity in public areas.

The proposal document (in Portugese) states the "urgent" change is necessary to "preserve Albufeira as a multicultural, family-friendly and safe destination".

Florida’s SB1718 could offer a glimpse into how the new #Trump administration’s crackdown on undocumented workers might affect small businesses nationwide—or be tempered to minimize the impact.

During his campaign, Trump promised an #immigration policy even harsher than Florida’s, including mass #deportations—something the state can’t do. But campaign promises are often bluster, and Trump, if anything, is a negotiator known for asking for the moon to get what he ultimately wants or will settle for.

Republicans—and Trump himself—have always been big boosters of small businesses. Trump’s incoming Border Czar, Tom Homan, has already acknowledged that without large-scale funding from Congress, deportations are more likely to be targeted than sweeping.
