Going to war for Russia in Ukraine and making Du'a against yourself, how does that even make sense?

A brother narrates:

I was once giving a sermon in one of the masajid and I spoke about the importance of istighfar. When I finished the sermon, I heard someone call me by my name at the door. I looked, and it was a man I did not know, but subhanAllah, I felt that I loved him for the sake of Allah straight away.

The man said to me, « Oh Shaykh Abdulrahman, I will tell you something about me to convey to the people. By Allah, I do not say this out of Riya’ or seeking reputation, but I found the impact of istighfar. » He said, « I make istighfar close to 30,000 times a day. » When he told me this, I asked him a question. I said, « I see you are someone who remembers Allah often, and your tongue is wet with the remembrance of Allah. What did you find in this? » He said, « By Allah, I do not raise my hand to ask Allah for anything except that He answers it. »

They call you Khariji for listening to "Ajnad Qur'ān" and you have to boycott them and their nasheeds.
But when it comes to Israel you have to ask the so-called Muslim ruler for permission to not buy their products.
