The Story of a Prisoner and His Experience with Istighfar

“I swear by Allah, there is no deity but Him, that this story is true in every detail.

I was a poor man who worked several jobs, but Allah did not grant me success in them. Then it was decreed by Allah that I was imprisoned for a political case in Saudi Arabia. I was in prison for about three months, during which I committed strongly to istighfar (seeking forgiveness), saying it thousands of times each day, Alhamdulilah. Despite my serious case, which would normally result in at least a year of imprisonment, Allah relieved me after just 87 days in prison.

Then, after my release, Allah, in His generosity, provided me with sixty thousand riyals from a generous one who knew about my poor financial condition.
He called me on his own and gave me thirty thousand riyals, and after a short period, he gave me the same amount again, totaling sixty thousand riyals. He told me,

"Take this as assistance for your worldly affairs!" I was utterly astonished by what happened, and I saw firsthand the great outcomes of istighfar!

The Prophet Muhammad (صل الله عليه وسلم) was truthful when he said:

"Whoever persists in seeking forgiveness, Allah will make for him a way out of every worry and a relief from every distress, and will provide for him from where he does not expect."

This is what Allah hastens for His servant in this life due to istighfar: warding off calamities, expanding the heart, and much more.
