Our new token contract is in the final stages of audit process with Cyperscope (CG & CMC partners). Main audit is done, now we are reviewing and finalizing with them. Then our new token is ready.

Initial tests of our new contract had us scoring 100% on all major token checkers, including the new Dextools scans (very rare to score perfect on there).

We are very close, and will be activating the token claim process shortly, and making announcement for launch date.

Blitz and I have been in the kitchen cooking up something delicious for the last few days, and we are happy to announce that we have decided and finalized the new project branding & design direction ?

We believe that we have struck the perfect balance of utility + meme power, as we were very conscious of needing to find the right balance for maximum moonability while continuing on our path of developing a defi staking & utility platform that will grow the project long-term and bring real revenue sharing opportunities to our holders.

I will admit, we were feeling quite dismayed and disheartened a few days ago, but now our brains are firing on all cylinders and we are more pumped than ever. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. This is not the New Year's message I expected to be posting, but alas, here we are. Thank you everyone for your patience, the last 48 hours has been incredibly hectic.

First, I want to assure you that everything is going to be ok. We are here, we have the project funds fully secured, and we are actively (non-stop) planning next steps to get everything back up and running asap.

I will share a few details with you now, but know that much more is coming. Thank you for your patience as we navigate the coming days. We are fully dedicated and focused to you, the community, the project, and making the best possible next steps.

THE SITUATION

Recently, we identified unusual activity and a serious security concern linked to a former developer. These issues raised significant suspicions and concerns for the safety of our project.

Faced with a challenging decision, we chose to "rip the bandaid" off now, in one fell swoop, to secure all of the liquidity and effectively pause/freeze the project in place. I believe this move was essential to safeguard our dedicated investors, particularly those with tokens locked in our staking platform, in the event of catastrophic panic/fud (even with LP locked).

We understand the impact of this decision and empathize deeply, having experienced similar situations ourselves. Our commitment to building a trustworthy, long-term project remains steadfast. We are reinforcing our security measures and implementing stricter protocols for developer kyc, even for those recommended by trusted sources.

We assure you of our continued dedication and support. We are here with you and we are in this together, as always. And we are confident that these steps are crucial for the well-being of our project and community going forward.

THE FUTURE

As you know, I (prof) am a bit of perfectionist. So you can imagine how my brain has been operating over the last 48 hours, analyzing everything, and wanting to make the best possible plan going forward.

Initially, I considered all potential avenues for being able to re-add the Liq for Luigi & Megg. But after analyzing buy/sell data from the last 2 days, working some spreadsheet magic to predict the impact of this, I came to the conclusion that it's too risky. Bots & snipers have been able to accumulate too many tokens at too low of a price, and will be in huge profit if we added back the liq. As an example, someone who bought $12 will have $4k / luigi if we add back the liq. No bueno.

After non-stop strategy & anaysis over the past 48 hours, we've decided that a re-launch & re-brand is the way forward. Re-launch for obvious reasons. But why re-brand? Now seems like a good time to solve lingering difficulties we have had around copyright issues, and specific issues with growth & partnerships being severely limited due to copyright.

BLESSING IN DISGUISE?

Let's be real. This sucks. Luigi, Magic Egg, Luigiverse. All the love, design, development, thought, money and effort we put into everything. All the money you invested faithfully. This was "our baby", and yours too. This is not easy for me, for you, for anyone to let go of our dear Luigi.

With the chaos of the last days starting to calm down, and my mind beginning to settle as we formulate our plan for moving forward, my perspective has started shifting to see this as a blessing in disguise, and I am becoming increasingly bullish and positive that we will come out of this much MUCH stronger than ever.

And on a very positive note, the countless dollars and hours we have personally invested into the Luigiverse Dapp is not lost. We can re-brand what we have built, and continue on with our mission.
