Silent weapons for quiet wars
1982 Hama Massacre
SYRIA - It's been 42 years this month since the Hama Massacre. Over a period of 27 days, between 30,000 and 40,000 Syrians were killed by Hafez al-Assad's military forces.
Hama was surrounded by over 12,000 government forces lead by Hafez Al-Assad's brother, Rifaat. No electricity, no telephones, and laying siege to the city for 27 days, Hama was bombed indiscriminately to allow infantry and tanks to enter relatively easily, destroying most of the old city
Each day soldiers entered a new neighbourhood, they started by killing and arresting everyone. Soldiers killed anyone who was associated with the Muslim brotherhood or any Islamic group.
Torture and mass executions of any suspected sympathisers resulted the deaths of thousands within a very short period.
- Over 100,000 were arrested
- 15,000 went missing
- 75% of the city was destroyed
- 63 mosques and 4 churches were destroyed
Like Father, Like Son
Today Bashar al-Assad has surpassed his father and has killed over 500,000 Syrians
Only meetings to fool the ummah but no action.
Artificial intelligence "tested" during the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza are likely to be sold to many of Israel's clients post war. Here are some key insights.
Physical action is an essential part of faith without which faith is not sound
What is indicated by the Quran and Sunnah, and the righteous early generations are agreed upon this, is that faith consists of both words and deeds, and may increase and decrease; there is no faith unless it is accompanied by actions, just as there is no faith unless it is accompanied by words. So faith is not valid unless both are present together. This is an issue that is known to Ahl as-Sunnah.
Imaan is,
1. Belief in the heart
2. Saying of the tongue and
3. Action of the limbs.
Moreover, you should understand that having knowledge and belief in the heart is not sufficient unless it is accompanied by verbal affirmation of faith, and knowledge in the heart and verbal affirmation are not valid unless they are accompanied by physical action (righteous deeds). Once a person combines these three characteristics, then he is a believer. This is indicated by the Quran and Sunnah, and the views of the Muslim scholars."(Ash-Sharee‘ah 2/116).
Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhaab (may Allah have mercy on him) said: There is no difference of opinion among the ummah that Tawheed must exist in the heart, which is knowledge; and on the tongue, which is words (verbal affirmation); and in one’s actions, which is acting in accordance with the commands and prohibitions. If a person does not fulfil one of these three, then he is not a Muslim.
According to Ahl as-Sunnah, physical action is an essential part of faith, without which faith is not valid, and a lack of physical action is indicative of a lack of faith in the heart, because they are strongly interconnected.
"Most of the month is gone, no one knows if you will live until next Ramadan or whether you will be in a dark hole surrounded by dirt from your left and your right, from on top of you and from below you. Two thirds is almost gone and it left at a lightning speed, and that is how your life is going to pass. Both the righteous and the bad regret days they missed out on. The righteous regret that they did not do more and the evil regret that they did not turn to Allah in these times. Sprint in your Ibaadah to Allah and He will sprint to you."
- Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril, حفظه الله “Gems of Ramadan”
Governments don't want an intelligent population because people who can think critically can't be ruled. They want a public just smart enough to pay taxes and dumb enough to keep voting.
من قصّر في أول رمضان وأحسن في آخره
The one who falls short at the beginning of Ramadan and improves towards its end,
خيرٌ ممن أحسن في أوله وقصّر في آخره،
is better than the one who does well at its beginning and falls short at its end.
ففي الحديث: إنَّما الأعمالُ بالخواتيمِ.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Verily, (the rewards of) actions are decided by the final actions.”
~ الشيخ عبدالعزيز الطريفي
Laylat al-Qadr & The Last 10 Nights
The last ten nights of Ramaḍān are for intensive worship. Just as the Messenger ﷺ used to cut himself off from people and perform iʿtikāf in the masjid, we too should try to do the same. We should take off as many days as possible from work and use this time to connect deeply with Allah (ʿazza wa jall). We should avoid wasting this precious time with Eid preparations, and switch off from social media.
