Imām Harb al-Kirmānī رحمه الله stated:

Verily did the people of desire, innovation and opposition invent ugly and hideous names with which they named the people of Sunnah. By that they want to criticize them, insult them and defame them, and (they want) that the fools and ignorant have contempt for them.

وقد أحدث أهل الأهواء والبدع والخلاف أسماء شنيعة قبيحة، فسموا بها أهل السنة، يريدون بذلك عيبهم، والطعن عليهم، والوقيعة فيهم، والإزراء بهم عند السفهاء والجهال.

Mansūr Al-Buhūtī رحمه الله stated:

Any act of piety done to give the reward to a Muslim, either living or dead, will be of benefit to them.

وأي قربة فعلها وجل ثوابها لمسلم، حي أو ميت نفعه.

Imām Wakī Ibn Jarrah رحمه الله stated:

Abū Hanīfah said to Ibn Al-Mubārak: “You raise your hands in every takbīrah, as if you want to fly.” So Ibn Al-Mubārak said to him: “If you were going to fly from the first one, then I would verily fly from the remaining ones.”

Wakī’ said: “The argument of Ibn Al- Mubārak was good two or three times.”

قال أبو حنيفة لإبن المبارك: ترفع يديك في كل تكبيرة كأنك تريد أن تطير، فقال له إبن المبارك: إن كنت أنت تطير في الأولى فإني أطير فيما سواها، قال وكي جاد ما حاجة ابن المبارك مرة أو مرتين.

Ibn Qudāmah al-Maqdīsī رحمه الله stated:

"ولأن تخصيص القبور بالصلاة عندها يشبه تعظيم الأصنام بالسجود لها ، والتقرب إليها ، وقد روينا أن ابتداء عبادة الأصنام تعظيم الأموات ، باتخاذ صورهم ، ومسحها ، والصلاة عندها ."

The special treatment of graves by means of praying at them is similar to the veneration of idols by prostrating oneself before them and wishing to draw near to them. And it is narrated that idol worship began initially by extoling the dead by taking their pictures and wiping them and praying at them.

يقول ابن القيم في كتابه 'الداء والدواء':

مهما بلغ تقصيرك في العبادة، فلا تفرّط في حسن الخلق، فقد يكون مفتاحك لدخول أعالي الجنة

❝ Whatever you lack in terms of (voluntary) 'ibadah, you cannot overdo enough in having good akhlaq, for it may be your key to entering a higher level of Jannah. ❞

Ibn Badrān رحمه الله stated:

As for blind following in matters of substantive law (furū), it is allowed for a non-mujtahid to do so, according to consensus.

وأما التقليد في الفروع فهو جائز إجماعا لغير المجتهد.
