#Reminder| Implement the commands of Allāh like the niqāb with full dignity! Do not change it to suit your desires and wear make-up to seem more attractive. Do not purposely wear light colours which would attract the eyes of people. Do not display photos of yourself wearing such an honourable cover — this only degrades your worth, or even posting photos with your husband. This is even worse as a true man is supposed to have strong ghīrah and not allow such things to happen in the first place.

Wear it how the noble Sahābīyyat wore it! Do you think this is how the Sahābīyyat would have been like? It is not a fashion statement and it is not to be adorned. The only statement that it should give is that you are a slave of Allāh who hears and obeys what Allāh has commanded you to do, not how attractive one looks in it. A muslimah is noble and must be concealed in the correct way.

It’s extremely saddening to see how certain aspects of the religion especially dress code are being degraded very badly and people still think they are doing what’s pleasing to Allāh, and there are no excuses for this as most people know what’s right and wrong.

A way to keep yourself in check and to increase your fear of Allāh is asking yourself, how you will answer to Allāh for not dressing the proper way Allāh loves, especially when you knew it was wrong. Do not take the commands of Allāh lightly and do not take your hayā’ lightly at all.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
-
“Certainly will the believers have succeeded:”
-
In Surah Al Mu’minoon, Allah عز و جل gives a list of qualities that bring success to the believers. The list begins with:
-
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ
-
“They who are during their prayer humbly submissive”
-
And it ends with:
-
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
-
“And they who carefully maintain their prayers -“
-
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ
-
“Those are the inheritors”
-
الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
-
“Who will inherit al-Firdaus (the highest level of paradise). They will abide therein eternally.”

The Adhan includes the statement: “Come to prayer! Come to success!”

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) stated that the most virtuous deed is the prayer. It is a deed for which Allah summoned him to the heavens to enjoin upon us. It is a deed that Allah enjoined upon us 50 times originally, due to His love for it, but out of His mercy for us He lowered it to 5 with the reward of 50. It is the first thing we will be questioned about on the Day of Resurrection.

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) asked the companions “If a person had a stream outside his door and he bathed in it five times a day, do you think he would have any filth left on him?" The people said, "No filth would remain on him whatsoever." The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) then said, "That is like the five daily prayers: Allah wipes away the sins by them." (Recorded by al-Bukhari and Muslim.)

It was narrated that Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “Between a man and shirk [associating others with Allaah] and kufr [disbelief] there stands his giving up prayer.” [Muslim, 82]

فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّبَعُوا الشَّهَوَاتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا
-
“Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salaat (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salaat to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in Hell.” [Maryam]
