Making the Choice

REFLECTION. We have a choice when we suffer.
We can concentrate on our own sufferings, be-coming bitter and resentful as the bad thief did on his cross.
Or we can look around and give comfort to
others who are suffering, even those who are
suffering because they are sharing our suffer-ing, as the good thief did.
PRAYER. When I carry my crosses, may I
always be like the good thief, O Lord.
