FXRP on Songbird Wind-Down Update

Community driven FAssets testing on Songbird has provided highly useful learnings about the FAssets protocol leading to a planned extensive upgrade of the protocols, termed FAssets v2.

In order to maintain a testbed for these planned upgrades whilst v1 FAssets are operational on Flare Mainnet and combined with constructive feedback from FAssets Agents and the various security programs participating, we will be continuing FXRP testing along with FDOGE and the upcoming release of FBTC on Songbird indefinitely. Wind-down dates of any of the three assets on Songbird will be specified at a later time with sufficient advanced notice.

The previous wind-down and redemption notice for FXRP can be disregarded and participants are free to continue testing the minting / redeeming of FXRP and providing SGB to the FXRP Agent collateral pools.

Flare Emissions Committee Quarterly Report ?

During the last quarter, the Flare Emissions Committee allocated rewards to dApps to continue bootstrapping liquidity on Flare.

The following dApps distributed rFLR during this period:

▸ SparkDEX
▸ BlazeSwap
▸ Kinetic
▸ Ēnosys

These dApps emitted approximately 62.6 million rFLR out of the 105 million rFLR allocated for Q4. Several additional dApps are scheduled to launch on Flare. More projects will be joining the $rFLR program, one of those dApps being Cyclo.

The committee underspent the allocated amount of rFLR for the period but remains cognizant of future growth and more dapps that will onboard. The unused rFLR from this quarter will be reserved for future allocations.

Flare TVL has increased to $65 million, including Clearpool with $23m and Sceptre with $25m.

Have you tried FXRP in the Songbird Test already? If so, you're a veteran ?

Several adjustments are being implemented to help more users test the system:

1️⃣ Dynamic agent minting collateral ratio (CR): When too many FDOGE or FXRP are being minted, agents can raise the CR. A high CR (e.g., 10) prevents new FAsset minting by requiring both agents and users to provide an excessive amount of collateral, making minting economically impractical.

Feeling unsure? As a helpful tip, consider actively using your FAssets instead of holding them.

2️⃣ Reduced DEX pool incentives for FDOGE pairs to encourage more redemptions instead of DEX liquidity. More redemptions mean more participants can join!

3️⃣ A creative allocation of redemption rewards is coming, offering potentially bigger incentives in addition to the existing redemption rewards. To earn more, redeem when you can! ?

Reminders for minting and redeeming FDOGE

? Note 1: Minting and redeeming FDOGE might take longer (approximately 1 hour) due to Dogechain's block confirmation time. Don't worry, you'll receive live updates during the process.

? Note 2: Before testing, if you had connected the wallets before with the minting platforms, please disconnect your wallet, then go to Bifrost settings - advanced - clear cache, reconnect your wallet to ensure a smooth experience.

The FAssets Songbird Test is dynamic, with all participants contributing their time and efforts to test and improve the system in every possible way. These tests will help us deliver a product we can all be proud of!

?The second batch of Songbird Test incentives is now claimable on the Flare Portal's "Emission" tab ?

As we enter the 5th week of Songbird testing, several adjustments are being implemented, such as dynamic agent minting fees and revised redemption bonuses.

The changes to the rewards will only take effect for the next batch onwards. We encourage the community to follow the social media channels of participating agents for the latest updates.

Additionally, we would like to reiterate and provide updates on three key points:

1️⃣ The FAssets beta retroactive airdrop will be distributed after the official release of the FAssets system on Flare, as stated in our initial announcement on October 10, 2024. This airdrop aims to reward participants who actively engage in Coston, Songbird, and Flare.

2️⃣ The open beta site (https://fasset-beta.flarelabs.org) will be sunset, and its code will be frozen. Further participation on this site will not be factored into the calculation of rewards.

3️⃣ The Songbird test continues, with ongoing optimization efforts as mentioned above. FDOGE support is scheduled to launch this week.
