A topic sometimes pondered in Christian circles is "why do you like horror/ghost/monster stories?"
There are occasionally Christians who want to have hot takes that will tell you that you're opening yourself up to demonic influence with that form of entertainment.
While I do think that over-fascination can lead to an obsession with evil, I don't think that most of us horror-appreciators are actually fascinated by evil. Rather, our interest is irked as the evil dragon is an inherent part of the Hero's Journey, and destroying monsters is effectively the epitome of adventure for the masculine psyche. Furthermore, I think we often like horror stories so much because pondering the dark unknown in a healthy, ordered way helps us to have a fuller appreciation of God's righteous light.

Christian evangelical libertarians love to quote the Church Fathers on their hatred for tyrannical pagan governments. But as soon as the Church Fathers begin to refer to the Holy Eucharist, or obedience to the Bishops, those same evangelical libertarians will beat a horse to death explaining how the Church Fathers were just fallible men who were probably wrong.

Pondering the Longhouse
You aren't the Doom Slayer. You pretend you can slay demons but tremble at the idea of doing a 400 meter dash. You're a mega based chad because you blast tren but you can't imagine going a week without porn. You're supposedly fulfilling the golden physique of your ancestors but immediately get out of breath when someone asks you to do more than a dozen reps.
You're easy to kill, easy to corrupt, quick to betray, and quick to pump your own ego. Humble yourself daily, deny your passions, and train harder.
My wife has had the unique pleasure of treating children whose parents refuse to allow the donation of blood for the child because, "the scriptures say the life is in the blood, so our daughter would take the soul of someone else!"
This is an extreme example of people becoming their own authority on the interpretation of scripture. Once you remove Tradition and the Church Fathers, you are left with the ability to translate scripture as you see fit.
"I decided long ago that one must paint terror, as well as beauty, from life. So I did some exploring in places I had reason to know where terror lives."
- Pickman's Model, HP Lovecraft
Human experience is wrapped up in a true battle between good an evil. The reason we show interest in the uncanny and even in horror is an evidence that we are not ruled by the mere evolutionary inclinations of fight or flight.
Learning about unconventional warfare ("guerrilla" warfare although this name has become really diluted) is very important for developing your understanding of a familial and community defense. That said, it's also really important to realize that a lot of this theory and teachings were cultivated by revolutionaries who were often willing to accept high casualty rates.
A historical look at revolutions shows that it is much like building a fire. In the early stages, the revolutionaries try to preserve their numbers but as the movement grows, the movement becomes increasingly tolerable of using up fuel (bodies). In fact, one may argue that martyrdom is key to successful revolutionary guerrilla warfare as it inflames and radicalizes the previously placid local population.
If you are interested in organizing to protect peoples and communities placed under your watchful eye, this CANNOT be you. You must organize, train, and fight with the maximum aggression possible while reducing casualties to the lowest feasible amount. Unlike a nation-wide political revolution, you DON'T have a large pool of potential recruits. If your friends get killed, you will have no one to replace them. So remember this when you're learning the tactics and methods of unconventional warfare.
