U.S. Taxpayers Shelled Out $5 Million For Transgender Pregnancies
Official data found the U.S. government paid for the pregnancies of 256 transgender men between the years 2014 and 2018.

A recent study by University of Michigan researchers found there were 1,907 births among people who were born biological female but who identified as men between 2014 and 2018, the equivalent of nearly 500 a year.

Of those, 256 of the men were on Medicaid, a government program that provides health insurance to people who are low-income.

The Daily Mail reports the average cost to give birth to a child in the U.S. is around $19,000, which means the taxpayers paid $4.6 million for those births.

Tesla Sued For Mishandling Hazardous Waste
A group of 25 California counties have sued Elon Musk’s Tesla, claiming the electric vehicle maker mishandled hazardous waste at its facilities across the state.

Los Angeles, San Francisco, and others, say the carmaker improperly labelled hazardous materials like antifreeze and batteries and sent them to the wrong waste facilities.

The lawsuit seeks civil penalties and an injunction that would require the company to properly handle its waste in the future.

The lawsuit is not the first time Tesla has faced allegations related to its hazardous waste management practices.

Exposing Hacking Tools Gets Ex-CIA Engineer 40 Years
Former CIA engineer Joshua Schulte was sentenced to 40 years in prison for reportedly providing WikiLeaks with classified information.

Schulte was allegedly responsible for the Vault 7 WikiLeaks release, which provided information about the CIA's hacking capabilities, including how the CIA could hack cell phones, web browsers, cars, and televisions for spying operations.

Federal prosecutors called Schulte's actions "some of the most heinous, brazen violations of the Espionage Act in American history."

Prosecutors sought a life sentence.

Disney To Crack Down On Password Sharing
Disney is banning password sharing on its streaming services, following in the footsteps of competitor Netflix.

In an email to Hulu subscribers on Wednesday, the company said it would start" "adding limitations on sharing your account outside of your household" beginning March 14.

Hulu’s user agreement, along with the agreements for Disney+ and ESPN+, explicitly prevent users from impersonating someone else by using their username or password.

The move was hinted at by Disney CEO Bob Iger in August, who said the company planned to address the issue of password sharing in 2024.

Iraq has begun the process of withdrawing foreign troops from its soil following the US strike on Baghdad, which killed the leader of an Iraqi militia, Reuters reports.

Harakat al-Nujaba, later named by the Pentagon as Mushtaq Jawad Kazim al-Jawari was killed in his car on Thursday as he was about to enter the garage at his group’s Baghdad headquarters.
