"When is all this going to happen? I really don’t need to say anything about that, dear brothers, for you know perfectly well that no one knows. That day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “All is well; everything is quiet and peaceful” then, all of a sudden, disaster will fall upon them as suddenly as a woman’s birth pains begin when her child is born. And these people will not be able to get away anywhere there will be no place to hide. 

But, dear brothers, you are not in the dark about these things, and you won’t be surprised as by a thief when that day of the Lord comes. For you are all children of the light and of the day, and do not belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Watch for his return and stay sober. Night is the time for sleep and the time when people get drunk. But let us who live in the light keep sober, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the happy hope of salvation.

For God has not chosen to pour out his anger upon us but to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ; he died for us so that we can live with him forever, whether we are dead or alive at the time of his return. So encourage each other to build each other up, just as you are already doing."

***Prayer Request: for Noah, Matthew and Amy.

Noah is a 13 year old young man intrigued by the alure of the enemy in the world and struggling to surrender to authority. Music being a large contributor, he is making poor choices and finding himself in trouble with the law. His God fearing parents are feeling helpless and lost in how to move forward.

Father in heaven may we start by calling on you for encouragement. For Matthew and Amy and every parent in the same circumstances facing the increasingly difficult influences on our children. Lord, oh how I know the personal agony of praying on my knees night after night. Calling on you to dislocate the hips of my child, as Jacob once wrestled with you, until he found reverence and authority in you alone. And how it hurt Lord, as it was my hips you broke. Learning from my circumstances I pray you break Matthew and Amy. Show them that we can never replace the job of the Holy Spirit. To love their son with clearly stated boundaries, and no less, as these are your expectations on them, and Father allow them to see how the world has led all of us parents with sincere and loving intentions astray, as we have failed to teach our kids true coping skills. Not skills of the world, but battlefield skills to fight the principalities of darkness. We can not dave our beloved children any more than we can save ourselves. But I pray Father, be gentle, as I empathize with the spiritual exhaustion and feelings of hopelessness as life seems to ravel out of control. Noah has in the past made incremental progress and it is those fruits they have witnessed we give thanks and put our faith in his deliverance. Lord you are faithful. And you knew Noah was going to tread this path. Teach him to hear your voice Lord, so this lost sheep will bleat and find obedience and an overwhelming desire to serve you. We bind and rebuke the attacks of the enemy over this entire family and theirs alike. Let us us parents not be silent in voicing our obedience and keeping your ordinances. Let them be a paralleled example to your tough love through us. Give them counsel on appropriate and acceptable behaviors and nothing less. And teach this young man the root of James 4:7-8, so humble himself before the Lord, resist the devil and he will flee from him. If we choose to flee our duty to parent our children with tough love, we teach them to rebel. Lord, line up safe and trustworthy God fearing resources to turn to and offer them a breath to regain sight, and may your will be done, because only in doing so will Noah understand the truth behind the righteous man he was named after to which you blessed eternally. Father we come to you seeking a miracle for this young man and others to be freed from the enslavement, destruction and death of the enemy, that every knee will bow to your glory. Thank you Father for the work in this young man's and his enduring parents lives in Jesus name Amen.???

Not today satan! We declare Noah free from satan's strongholds. Lord let our faith "move mountains" to occupy this man and break him away from the evil spells of music and entertainment and relationships of the enemy in Jesus name Amen.

Hallelujah!!

I have an aunt that once complained about her faux friends, you know the kind, the ones that don't communicate all year round until a day on the calendar reminds them to.

I laughed so hard when she said, "anyone who can't be bothered to call me throughout the year, need not come and eat the free sandwiches at my funeral!"

To this day I chuckle about that visit, and whole heartedly agree with her. Christmas is celebrated by those types of people, who eat, drink, and be merry with each other one day a year. It is their religion. Their hearts aren't convicted to love one another. Just look at satan's operation covid. How many of those people were obedient to God then?

Obedience is not a religion that you turn on and off at ones convenience. It is serving God 24/7, total surrender and self discipline. Some of us, with great intention, want relationships to return. We don't care about gifts under the tree. If you love someone, make an effort in sharing your love with them!

I do not feel obligated in participating in the world, I feel a desire to stand strong in my convictions and shut off the party zone when I see those around me who can't afford and keep up to the Babylonian hoopla, and remind them what everyday is all about. Love.

Even though I don't celebrate this time of year as most, I am very reflective of how important family is.

Some of us have family to share their lives with, others are without, but the family of God is very unique.

Isn't it amazing how some of us have never met in person, some of us may have even tangled with each other in conversation, or perhaps we have supported each other in the burdens we carry. No matter the circumstances that introduced us, it is possible to love and respect one another when Christ is our mutual center.

I am feeling especially appreciative of my family this evening. Over this time I have enjoyed getting to know you, praying with you, and trusting you to walk through difficult circumstances we face. You are as much strength to me as I pray I am for you.

God is so good. In rough times and good times, He is always good. I pray we can continue to share our faith with as many as God puts in our paths, in hopes they will see our family and long to be a part of it. I long for others to experience the most beautiful life we have in Christ. And that we can carry others as we have carried each other.

To whom ever is reading this message, I pray a blessing from our Lord, that you will allow Him to be present in your life, and carry you forward with great courage and strength, that one day we may celebrate together the welcoming of you into our family.

Prayer Update! Young Celeste has been flown down to a children's hospital to prepare for surgery for her appendicitis. But doctors are holding off on any drainage and surgery for the moment, as it seems our prayers have taken root and God is the one healing her body. Her parents Ian and Cathleen are thankful for all of our prayers and wanted to share the news with all honour and glory to God!

Thank you Ian and Cathleen for the updates. It is so awesome to hear back from each other and hear the wonderful ways God interacts in our lives. God is so good, there is no other!

Also, a reminder and invite extended to all who are seeking prayers. We are happy that iron sharpens iron, we can build each other up in faith, and we can intercede in prayer to fight off the powers of darkness.

***Prayer Requests:

1) Kate is a proactive believer who sees the dangers ahead of her children being in the school system, and wants to remove her children from the enemy's destruction, but her children are having a difficult time accepting her discernment, as she has also removed them from the false teachings of Christmas and Halloween, and they are resentful.

2) Teenager Celeste Roy is in the hospital on medication for appendicitis with the possible option of surgery this evening, and parents Cathleen and Ian are looking for prayers for the outcome of her condition.

Father, the enemy is strong, but you are stronger! He is not your equal opposite, rather your opposite, and all the demons in the world are no match for you! So in humility Lord, we call on you to take down the enemy and every attempt to destroy our brothers and sisters. Lord, we see the enemy and his perverted nature to twist the truth and represent himself as saviour. And we bind and rebuke all of it! Open the eyes of Kates children to see the darkness for themselves, just how twisted and far he will go to seek, kill, and destroy, and let them see the nature of your glory through their mother, as she works feverishly to be obedient to your word. The enemy thinks he's got Kate right where he wants her, he thinks her children view her as the one who removes fun, but Lord I pray you press on this strong mother, a strength of love and patience and creativity that overwhelms and rejuvinates the life and excitement and respect in her children towards her. When the enemy gets in her face, let her slap him with an abundance of joy from the Holy Spirit and redefine fun for them all to grow together in faith. The world is so used to over the top performers that they forget the fulfillment of simple things done in love. Guide her words and actions Lord, and give her provisions and creativity to share the light with her boys, and show them how you showed her how you put the awe in awesomeness! And fill their home with peace and joy and a desire to be together with intention!

Father for young Celeste, I pray your will be done. Lord if it is necessary for her to undergo surgery, let it be so with your hand guiding the physician each step. I pray for healing in Celeste, that you would destroy all inflammation and source of it throughout her entire body. Father, you know this is a child in a family of 9 siblings, a young woman who is responsible to her family and her home studies, she is an important part of a very special family who I believe you will use to bring them all closer together in faith and love. Please give Cathleen and Ian your divine discernment, that they hear your word and stand firm on your promises. Though we understand the enemy is trying to create a problem, we have faith in your sovereignty and will be glorified by the outcome of her health.

Thank you Lord Jesus for these two courageous warriors, bless and carry them through these storms in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Please lift up the needs of my family to the Lord, the Thijssen's. Satan has done a number on us over the past 2 years. We are struggling with communication, and complete surrender of the thingsof this world. I have been praying fervently for accountability and increased effort in our relationships, but it feels hopeless. I know God is working on us, but I need His strength more than ever to push forward. I don't want the enemy to even think he's taking them away. I need the demonic spirits called off of us. Spiritual warfare is eminent, but I feel too weak to deliver satan the direct scissor kick to the tonsils he so deserves. So I pray for intercession and keep faithful! Thank you and God bless you all!
