Today, on this Easter Sunday, we took the time to put up a sign we had made after starting the first Campaign for Life Chapter in the North West Territories.

So together on this cold and wintry day (it's actually plus 15 Celsius right now and I'm in a t-shirt, you wouldn't think it's the North), we stretched it out and mounted it along the road. It's a good sized sign and easy to see at 8x16.

No matter where we are, we can do our part. The Sorrowful Mother seemed a fitting depiction of the message being portrayed.

Sometimes, we live in the tent for periods of time just for the heck of it.

It's good to be out of the cabin for a while.
Teaches you things and helps you appreciate life on so many levels.
Brings you closer to nature.

The kids love it; everything is an adventure to them.

Mom and Dad—as in I and my wife—fall more in love, doing things together.

Helps keep you based and balanced and more on track on what life is all about.

Never know if you may actually be forced to take off live in a tent someday. Well, we've got this base covered.

An animal that, to most people, is nothing more than a Myth or Legend.

Known to those of us who make our home in the Far North as the Woods Devil. Cunning and very cautious, often seeming to have evil intent—but more likely just using everything at its disposal to survive and thrive.

The Wolverine.

Probably few people have ever seen one.

Trapping them is a battle of wits with sleepless nights and very well thought out strategies in order to best them. They destroy meat, can rip cabins apart, and have almost no predators. They can't live in harmony with man and have all but disappeared anywhere civilization exists.

Highly prized for their fur, which has a very unique ability.

No matter how cold it gets, their fur never frosts up. It can't be beat when it comes to using it for things like trim on a hood.

Recently, I saw a parka for sale with coyote trim for $400 dollars and an identical one for sale with wolverine fur trim for $980 dollars.

I am just about to skin this one and stretch the pelt.

I saw a man the other day drinking a bottle of Coca-Cola and thought of all the factors involved in getting him to drink that. (Note this same example applies to almost everything in the modern man's life)

Coke has become almost a culture; it's advertised and pushed everywhere. In the movies, on signs, and available in every store, it is basically forced down modern man's throat without him even knowing it; he thinks that he has chosen to drink Coke, when it's actually quite the opposite. (Anyone who disagrees with this is living a sad life)

Why would anyone want to drink a toxic bottle of Coke or any poison pop that is completely full of garbage and unnatural? Why would anyone want to live a life where they are told what to think, what to buy, how to live, what's cool, and what's not? How do you become you? The answer is, you don't. The vast majority of people live a life that is completely fake and highly controlled by outside sources, influences, elites, anything, and anyone but YOU. Just be a good slave for the system. Like Rockefeller said, we don't want a nation of thinkers, just a nation that is told what to think—a nation of factory workers.

God gave you a special set of skills and abilities and ways of thinking and personality, and this is hardly properly developed or used. You may as well not even exist, you're just a number or cog in the system. The craziest thing of all is that most people are okay with this. New iPhones designed to dumb you down and zombify you keep coming out, along with series after series to binge watch. One distraction to the next.

I was like this once till I read a book called The Northwest Passage by Land, passed down to me from my long gone brother. That's when it truly hit me. 400 plus years of fur trapping history and exploration from my ancestors all seem to come crashing down on me, and I realized that I existed. Not the I that wasted time on the internet or drinking pop and wandering around through life eating junk food, but a real person uniquely created by God and not meant to be a slave but someone with free will and unique skills, abilities, passions, and loves. From that moment on, I did nothing but fight my programmed self and struggle to break free from the system's chains. The more you learn, the more lies you discover. It's not an easy path to take, but it's the only path to take.

Old woman in her eighties living all alone in the bush, hundreds of kilometers from the nearest grocery store. She was a city girl. Moved North and got married. Her husband died, and she stayed in their home in the bush and continued on.

She has never seen a Costco, never owned a smartphone, and even eats rotten meat without batting an eye. Until we moved into the area, she was almost virtually alone.

Put all that in your pipe and smoke it and don't let an old lady show you up.
