In Welsh Lore we find Mabon mab Modron - 'Mabon, Son of the Mother'. The name 'Mabon' means 'son' as does the name 'Ing'. In Vedic Lore Agni is also the 'Son of the Mother' since She (Mother Nature) hides him within all life on Earth. It is through the Friction-Fire (Need-Fire) that Ingwe (Agni) is kindled, and we call this the 'Inga-Fire' or 'Agni-Fire'. The Sacred Flame on the Altar is the Inga-Fire.
