August 9th ~ Vigil of St. Lawrence, Martyr
O LORD, give ear to our prayers, and by the intercession of Blessed Lawrence, Thy Martyr, whose feast we anticipate, graciously bestow upon us Thy everlasting mercy.

**Novena for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
August 6th - 14th

Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, Thou hast destroyed the power of death and given the hope of eternal life for body and soul. Thou hast granted Thy Mother a special place in Thy glory, and didst not allow decay to touch her body. As we rejoice in the Assumption of Mary, grant us renewed confidence in the victory of life over death. A**men.

DAY 4 - August 9th
O
Dearest Mary, assumed into Heaven, God placed thee at His right hand, that thou might intercede for His little ones as the Mother of God. In the midst of all the saints, thou standest as their Queen and ours, dearer to the Heart of God than any other creation. Thou prayest for thy children and grant to us every grace won by our loving Savior on the Cross. Please intercede for us now in our needs, and ask Jesus to grant our request, if it be for the good of our souls. (Here mention your request).

O Queen, assumed into heaven, pray for us. Amen.

Month of the Immaculate Heart of Mary ~
August 9th
Commenting on the Canticle (8:6), he says that the Virgin Mary so carried Christ as a seal on her heart that throughimitation of Him she came more and more to resemble Him, 10 and on the words . . . he set in order charity in me (Cant. 2:4), "In whom was charity formed, if not in the Virgin Mary; who loved Christ from the depths of her heart. . . .” 11

It is the Blessed Virgin again who above all others most perfectly fills the requirements implied, according to the Fathers, in the words, Put me as a seal upon thy heart (Cant. 8:6), for it is she who bears Christ as a seal that she might forever love Him, that she might excel in the power of contemplation 12 and while devoting herself ardently to meditation might never cease to imitate Him in her external actions. 13

——8 St. Isidore of Seville, Append. VI, Expositio in Canticum Canticorum (PL, 83, 1125): "Aperi mihi, id est cor pande mihi, soror mea . . . Immaculata mea, quia sola aspectu rneo digna."
9 Alanus de Insulis, op. cit. (PL, 210, 85): "Inducitur ergo Virgo loquens secundura statum ante Incarnationem, Ego dormio, a saeculari cura, et cor meum vigilat in "contemplatione."
10 Ibid. (PL, 210, 105) : "Sic Virgo Maria Christum [super] cor suum posuit ut signaculum, quia ipsi per imitationem conformata est eiusque gratia consignata."
11 Ibid. (PL, 210, 65) : "In quo fuit charitas ordinata, nisi in Virgine Maria; quae dttexit Christum ex toto corde."
12 Theodoret, Episcopus Cyrensis, In Canticum Cantic. Lib. llI (PG, 81, 139) : "Cor quidem appellat animae vim contemplativam, brachium autem activam."
13 Gregory the Great, op. tit. (PL, 79, 541) : "Signum quippe mens interius et exterius Christum portat, quia dum in eius meditationibus assidue laborat, in exteriori actione eum imitari non cessat."

I didn't get to address this earlier, but for those who struggle with your hatred becoming malice from the madness of this world, there a viable remedy which should prove itself useful.

With all the members of your heart, soul, mind, and strength, harken onto your hatred into the palm of your hand; hold it, and recall everything which has inflamed it, and the things and individuals who arouse just hatred. When your hatred is in the palm of your hand, offer it up to God as a holocaust, saying:

Lord, I am too weak, and I do not hate things the way you want me to hate. Please grant, I beseech Thee, take away my hatred, bless those who test my patience and attain their salvation, and replace my hatred with Thy charity.

If you are more straight to the point, you can also say:

Take away my hatred, save souls with this temptation, bless my enemies, and grant me Thy Love.

It doesn't need to be 100% like this, however, the principals behind this are:
\-speak to God plainly and honestly, yet do not sin nor ruminate \-make your intentions clear from the get\-go, and do not hide anything from the Lord \-allow the Lord to take away your hatred, and force yourself to bless your enemies, even when they deserve divine justice \-use the temptation against itself as taught by the saints; this will not only make the devils cease tempting you, likewise, you can save souls by offering up your temptation for someone's salvation

O blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Walsingham, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down in mercy upon us, our parish, our country, our homes, and our families, and upon all who greatly hope and trust in thy prayers, (especially...) By thee it was that Jesus, our Savior and hope, was given to the world; and He hath given thee to us that we may hope still more. Plead for us thy children, whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother. Intercede for those separated from Holy Mother Church, that, with us, in the one true fold, they may be united to the Chief Shepherd, the Vicar of thy Son. Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good works we all may be made worthy to see and praise God, together with thee in our heavenly home. Amen.
.
Our Lady of Walsingham,
Pray for us.

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

Novena to Our Lady of Walsingham.
Nov 19 - 27
.
Devotion to Our Lady of Walsingham is always centered on the Mystery of the Annunciation. It was at the Annunciation that Our Lady accepted God's invitation to be the Mother of God, the Theotokos. She gave herself over to God's will and conceived by the Holy Spirit. By this same Holy Spirit Mary always leads us to Jesus, and her prayers help us say "yes" to God's will in our lives even as she did at the Annunciation.
.
In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
.
Cardinal Mercier's Prayer to the Holy Ghost. (Written by him from the Holy Ghost Chapel in the Slipper Chapel, Walsingham, England)
.
Holy Ghost, soul of my soul, I adore Thee; enlighten, guide, strengthen and console me; tell me what I ought to do, and command me to do it. I promise to be submissive in everything that Thou asketh of me and to accept all that Thou permittest to happen to me, only show me what is Thy will. Amen.
.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.
.
Ancient Walsingham Prayer.
.
O alone of all women, Mother and Virgin, Mother most happy, Virgin most pure, now we, sinful as we are, come to see thee who art all pure, we salute thee, we honour thee as how we may with our humble offerings; may thy Son grant us, that imitating thy most holy manners, we also, by the grace of the Holy Ghost may deserve spiritually to conceive the Lord Jesus in our inmost soul, and once
conceived never to lose him. Amen.

Chapter 3
“Have Pity on Us!” (continued)

St. Malachy having lost his sister by death, offered many fervent prayers and pious suffrages for her eternal repose. Having after some time desisted from doing so, he heard one night an unknown voice say to him that this sister waited outside the church and asked him for assistance. The Saint well understood what the needs of his sister were, and having resumed the pious exercises which he had discontinued, he saw her some time after at the entrance of the church in robes of mourning, and having a sad and disconsolate aspect. This vision caused him to redouble his prayers in her behalf, nor did he allow any day to pass without performing many acts of piety for her relief. The soul on its next appearance had a less mournful garb and was inside the church, but durst not approach the altar. The Saint having his confidence in the efficacy of his suffrages thus sustained, multiplied them even more than before, and did his utmost to satisfy the Divine Justice in her behalf. On her third appearance, he was consoled with the assurance that his pious intention had been effected. He saw her clad in garments of dazzling brightness, and advancing to the altar, surrounded by a joyous band of blessed spirits, thus signifying to her holy brother that she had obtained admission into heaven.
