Narrated Abdullah bin Amr:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not drink from silver or gold vessels, nor eat from dishes made of them, for indeed, they are for them (disbelievers) in this world and for you in the Hereafter."

Heartbreak is one of life's toughest tests, especially when it comes to losing someone who once held a special place in the heart. The pain of separation is real, and it's natural to feel lost when someone we care about is no longer with us. But in such moments, it’s important to remember that everything happens according to the will of Allah, and there is wisdom behind every event, even if we don't understand it right away.Losing someone dear is a reminder that not everything we desire is meant to be. Sometimes, we’re tested by losing what we thought was ours, and it's in these tests that our patience and faith are truly measured. While the memories remain, and the feelings may linger, there is comfort in knowing that Allah’s plan is always better than our own.Perhaps this separation is a way for us to grow, to learn, or to be guided towards something that is ultimately better for us. It’s not easy to let go, but trusting in Allah’s wisdom helps in accepting that some things are just not meant to last.In the end, all we can do is pray for peace, strength, and healing—for ourselves and for those we have lost. May Allah guide us all towards what is best in this life and the hereafter. Ameen.

“And perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.” (Qur’an 2:216)

Riyad as-Salihin 1462
Al-Bara' bin 'Azib (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Whenever you intend to go to bed, perform Wudu' as is done for Salat (prayer); and then lie down on the right side and recite: 'Allahumma aslamtu nafsi ilaika, wa fawwadtu amri ilaika, wal-ja'tu zahri ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika, la malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilaika, amantu bikitabik-alladhi anzalta, wa binabiyyik-alladhi arsalta [O Allah! I have submitted myself to You. I have turned my face to You, entrusted my affairs to You and relied completely on You out of desire for and fear of You (expecting Your reward and fearing Your punishment). There is no resort and no deliverer from (hardships) except You. I affirm my faith in Your Book which You have revealed, and in Your Prophet whom You have sent].' If you die during the night, you will die in the true religion. Let these words be your last words at night."

[Al- Bukhari and Muslim].

"Actions are judged by intentions, so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration was for Allah and His Messenger, his migration was for Allah and His Messenger; and he whose migration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated."

(Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَن ذِي ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ ۖ قُلْ سَأَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْهُ ذِكْرًۭا إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ سَبَبًۭا فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِى عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍۢ…

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله mentioned some signs to indicate whether a person has a sound heart, from them:

“Is that when he enters the salaah, all of his anxieties and worries concerning the Dunyā leave him, and he finds it difficult to leave the prayer.”
