HeartCry missionary Martin Rizley from Spain writes,

Dear brothers and sisters,
We are very encouraged by the number of people who are wanting to become members of our congregation. This past Sunday, we received two new members into the church. Their names are Angelita and Carolina. Both of them are from Colombia.

Angelita was baptized on Saturday evening in the Mediterranean Sea. The next morning, we received her as a church member. The baptismal service was a great encouragement to the whole church.

Presently, there are five other individuals who have expressed their desire to join the church. They are Alexa, María, Michelle, and Miller from Colombia, and Enrique from Spain.

There are two additional couples who regularly attend our church services—Jeison and Yamile from Colombia, and Carl and Noemí from Spain. Both of these couples are still deciding whether to become members. Please pray that God will give them light and guidance regarding this important matter.

Latin America Coordinator, Ryan Bush, encourages missionaries and their church members from Psalm 119 by emphasizing the faithfulness of God to not only create them, but also sustain them with His word.

Meet Chhinho Saing, the pastor of Shalom Phnom Penh Church and the country coordinator of Shalom Mission to Cambodia.

Chhinho received his ministerial training through Bible School in Phnom Penh and through his studies at Bible Theological Seminary in the Philippines for a Bachelor of Theology and a Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership.

He started in ministry in 2002 and has worked with HeartCry since 2014. Chhinho and his wife, Samphors Mao, have been married since 2008.

For the work in South Sudan, it’s a complex one in the sense that you are dealing with the uneducated, living in poor, rural, ancient-like communities.

At the same time, it is a population that is open to the preaching of the gospel and are embracing anyone who goes in there in the name of the Lord, thereby exposing themselves to false teachers and false gospels such as the prosperity teachings.

This is the most needy area and starting out missionary work there would be necessary.

The partnership with HeartCry is exceptional, as it has enabled us to reach out to untrained pastors from the word of faith and false prophetic movements.

These men have had their doctrines and theologies changed. Some have been invited by the reformed churches to take up pastoral ministry, and others are planting new churches.

The expansion of the college and churches can evidently be seen as a result of this support."

HeartCry's coordinator for Africa meets with HeartCry-supported missionary Mathias Maombe to teach on the biblical roles of the pastor.

Mathias Maombe serves as a church planter in Rwanda, Africa. Joining him are 20-30 young men whom he disciples regularly.

The entire group meets once a month in order to learn about the duties of a biblical pastor. In their most recent meetings, they have been learning how the Bible instructs pastors to manage finances in both the home and the church.
