We must expose this.

The truth is, Adolf Hitler had no specific disgusted disdain for the religion of Christianity - instead, he saw “the two denominations” as he called them in Mein Kampf - as being locked in a war with one another, as they both looked on with indifference to the destruction of the Aryan Race. Religion for him, was political.

In short, he was neither a loyal Lutheran or a loyal Catholic, but a loyal National Socialist (well … we could debate that with his betrayals in the Night of the Long Knives, but that’s another story).

Anyways, whether or not he is - or isn’t - a Christian nominally, is at this point, relatively unimportant - as National Socialism itself takes precedence.

Now let’s move up a level in analysis - Adolf Hitler committed suicide.

Well, that’s something that neither the Catholic or the Protestant Churches would authorize, as it is a grave sin, and one you are incapable of repenting for, as you cannot repent in death.

Within a Christian frame, he is almost certain to suffer eternal doom and damnation. We doubt a committed Christian would risk that.

Let’s go deeper - Adolf Hitler favored Germanization.

Now this is something the Neopagan gang runs with a little too much - to the Christians credit.

While it’s true, Nazi Germany rooted the people into their historical “blood and soil” - which included a renewed appreciation for the pagan German history, and for some, neopagan German religion - the reality is, there was also attempt at Germanization of the Protestant Churches, which we all know as “Positive Christianity”.

Now, no one thinks it worked all that well - but it does show the trend. Not towards autistically rejecting Christianity - but integrating it into National Socialism.

And this is really the key point.

There is evidence to believe Adolf Hitler believed in a Higher Power - God, so to speak.

But so did Thomas Jefferson.

Adolf Hitler believed that he had a destiny to protect Gods Creation, by preserving the races of Man.

The specifics of “God” here, are unimportant, and impersonal. This is no more a personal connection with the Lord Jesus, as it is a personal belief in Odin.

It is a vague, abstract God - one who endorses Hitlers own philosophy. It is not one he prays to, but one he feels is perhaps in the background, guiding his life.

Here he finds no time of day for the partisan Christians or the starry eyed neo-Pagans intent on inserting their theories - it is uninteresting to him, these groups are political forces, which he merely intends to reign in into his process of Germanization.

What is Adolf Hitlers religion? Is it Germany? Is it Jesus? Is it the “unknown God of Odin” that he claims in a bit of Trench poetry that he met once.

No, Hitlers God, is National Socialism. And National Socialism is himself.

Hitler empties himself of nothing to be filled with a God, but instead frenzies forth a whirlwind of his own egoic vision onto the world, and fills all of Germany with the God of himself.

In this way, what can be said but Hitler was a Nietzschean.

“Enjoy the blessing of strength while you have it and do not bewail it when it is gone, unless, forsooth, you believe that youth must lament the loss of infancy, or early manhood the passing of youth. Life's race-course is fixed; Nature has only a single path and that path is run but once, and to each stage of existence has been allotted its own appropriate quality; so that the weakness of childhood, the impetuosity of youth, the seriousness of middle life, the maturity of old age.. each bears some of Nature's fruit, which must be garnered in its own season.”

And I whispered back into the darkness, "I am the storm".
