It just took me couple of hours to realize that I worth so much more than I thought I do and how I should be treated in a proper way. If the person who wants to be with me in the future is not gonna do the bare minimum I saw today then I will just say goodbye.

I guess buses around my university have bipolar disorder. Like every time I want to go back to my dorm i need to guess which bus can take me straight to my dorm without going around the engineering buildings. Beleive me it takes at least 20-25 minutes to go around the engineering buildings because our uni is so huge af. The straight path gets like 7-10 mins.

The next post will be about the classes that I am taking this upcoming semester~

1. Elementary Korean. This course was an introduction to the Korean language for those who don't know anything about Korean. We started with learning the Hangeul and then moved to more complex topics throughout the semester. We learned many basic things such as ordering in the restaurants, buying things in the shops and other basic topics that we need in our daily life in Korea. I cannot say anything more. The workload was very light. Even if we had many home assignments, they were very easy to complete and the exams were also pretty easy for me.

So let's start with the classes I took last semester

1. Principles of accounting. In this course we covered all the basic topics that we need to know about financial accounting such as assets, liabilities, amortization and so on. We also had a little introduction to investments and bonds. The class was really interesting and the professor was very nice and kind. The professor was a former professor at NYU Stern Business school so he was very qualified in his field. However, the workload from this class was the heaviest among the classes that I took in the previous semester. We had 6 big home assignments overall, 22 quizzes, 2 midterms and 1 final exam. I was very new to this field and most of the students who were studying with me in that class were in their second, third and fourth year. I even met masters degree students in my class. So it was a bit hard for me to compete with them in terms of grades. As a result I didn't get the grade that I desired but I don't regret taking this class. It was like a kick for me to study subjects in my field more deeply and be prepared beforehand.

2. Marketing management. One more class that I took from my Business Administration department. This class was quite easy compared to accounting. We covered all the basic topics in the marketing field such as STP, 4Ps and mainly how to meet the needs of the customers by offering them the right products. As the number of students was not much I was quite active during this class, I asked questions to the professor and answered them as well. The workload from this class wasn't that big. We had a Midterm exam, a Final exam and one group project which made up 35% of our grade. The group project was also really interesting as we have been asked to choose a particular company and think about the marketing methods to increase that company’s market share in a particular country.

3. Understanding Asian philosophy. This class was truly interesting and thought provoking. We covered mainly the teachings of prominent Chinese philosophers such as Confucius, Meniscus and many other philosophers from China. We had discussions during the class on a particular hypothetical life situation and actions, we analyzed which philosopher’s teachings our actions and thoughts suit more. I concluded for myself that I am more close with Confucianism as the teachings in it are more close to Islam than any other teachings that we covered throughout the semester. The workload from this class was not much. We only had 3 assignments which were either analyzing the text and writing our reflections or the professor would give us the hypothetical situation in life and then she would ask us what we would do in that moment.

4. Life in Contemporary Korea. I would recommend this course to everyone who would like to understand the current situation of Korea and mainly about the huge problems that Korean society is facing nowadays. This class gave me so much insight into the life of Korean people and made me understand and learn more about them. During this class we had discussions with our teammates and also watched very informative videos. At the end of the semester we have been asked to choose a particular problem that Korea is facing and which is significantly impacting the society then make a presentation in front of the whole class and professor. The professor from this class was so nice and kind. She was literally an angel. She would ask everyone individually about how we feel today or how our day was and she would always wish good luck on our exams during the exam seasons.
