В России пройдет Первый Чемпионат мира по русскому языку среди иностранных граждан. К участию приглашаются команды иностранных граждан в возрасте от 16 до 22 лет, состоящие из 5 человек и тренера - преподавателя русского языка, работающего за рубежом. Для победы участникам предстоит пройти несколько этапов: регистрацию, отбор, дистанционные соревнования команд. А финалисты приедут в Санкт-Петербург и там сразятся в итоговых этапах за звание чемпиона мира по русскому языку. Участники и победители получат сертификаты и памятные призы. ⚡️ Russia's Position at the Seventy-Ninth Session of the UN General Assembly

???? Restoring the central and coordinating role of the Universal Organization in global affairs, which has been compromised as a result of Washington and its satellites' policies aimed at making the United Nations suit their agenda, is the main priority of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. This task is enshrined in the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation.

The activities of the United Nations should primarily aim to shape a more just, democratic and sustainable multipolar world order building on the principles of the UN Charter in their entirety and interrelation, first of all the principle of sovereign equality of states.

Attempts by Westerners to promote their notorious concept of the "rules-based world order," which involves a revision of the decades-old international legal architecture, discreditation or arbitrary interpretation of the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and creation of alternative narrow decision-making formats bypassing the Universal Organization, must be strongly opposed.

We should resolutely combat the flawed neocolonial practices employed by the collective West to slow down the objective historical process of the emergence of a genuinely multipolar world order, and retain its fading dominance and continue to prey on the countries of the world majority.

? This includes illegal unilateral sanctions, unfair trade agreements, restricting access to new technologies, plundering the resources of sovereign states, and even direct military interventions. Such actions harm the most vulnerable communities in affected countries and further delay the prospect of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.

Against this backdrop, the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations prepared a draft UN General Assembly resolution on "Eradication of colonialism in all its forms and manifestations." The main objectives of the document include declaring 14 December the Day of Struggle against Colonialism in all its forms and manifestations (to commemorate the date of the adoption of the UNGA Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples of 1960) as well as putting the relevant item on the General Assembly's agenda.

The initiative was approved by the General Assembly Special Committee on Decolonization (C‑24) in June 2024. We call on all constructively minded partners to support it in the UNGA Fourth Committee, which will take place in autumn 2024.

On 22nd August 2024, members of the Holy #Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church held a remote meeting to approve the text of the statement concerning the bill adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the aim of liquidating the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Key points:

? For many years, the policy of persecution against the Church has been carried out against a backdrop of the slanderous anti-church campaign in the Ukrainian mass media aimed at defaming the #canonical Orthodoxy, as well as instigating and justifying mass seizures of churches.

? Many archpastors and pastors of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have been arrested, taken into custody or received unjust sentences;

? The adopted bill is incompatible with the rule of law principles;

? We appeal to international human rights organizations to give an immediate and unbiased response to the flagrant oppression of the faithful in Ukraine.

Over the years, the Forum has contributed significantly to the development of constructive economic ties between our country and other states in the Asia-Pacific region. A direct, informal communication that occurs here between Russian entrepreneurs and their foreign counterparts, government agencies, social organisations, and the expert community makes it possible for us to discuss many topical issues on the regional agenda and develop beneficial projects together, a fact reflected in the forum’s slogan this year, ‘Far East 2030. Combining Strengths to Create New Potential’.

The influence of the Asia-Pacific region in international affairs is growing fast. New opportunities for productive cooperation are opening up here, including within such authoritative multilateral structures as the Eurasian Economic Community, the #SCO, and #BRICS. I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that Russia is open to dialogue with all interested partners in the Asia-Pacific region and is determined to actively interact with others to build a fairer, more democratic system of international relations based on genuine equality, with no place for dictate, strong-arm tactics or sanctions pressure.

Humanitarian contacts are a significant component of the multifaceted system of our interstate cooperation. Their importance in the context of efforts to strengthen mutual trust is hard to overestimate. The 2024-2025 Years of Culture of Russia and China declared by President of Russia Vladimir Putin and PRC President Xi Jinping are a case in point.
