"In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." - Robert Frost

It is believed that secondary school children should study international news as one of their school subjects. Others think that this is a waste of valuable school time.
Discuss both views and give your opinions.*According to some, international news studies should be added to the secondary school’s curriculum as a subject, while others disagree with this idea, arguing that this would be a waste of time. Even though there are valid arguments for both of these opinions, I concur with the latter viewpoint.
On the one hand, international news can seem to be a valuable subject for schoolchildren for two main reasons. To begin with, we now live in a globalized world, meaning every country is more connected with one another than ever before. As a result of having such a subject in the school curricula, students can be aware of the global events. Learning specific terms is another reason why this can be included at schools. To be more precise, students can learn specific vocabularies they can use in the future when they are in this lesson. These reasons, combined, can be the support of this new subject.
On the other hand, I am still of the view that this decision would be frustrating for both parents and their children since the current curriculum is overwhelmed in some cases. In other words, this would be demanding for schoolchildren since they already have a list of numerous life-needed subjects they have to concentrate on. In Uzbekistan, for instance, an average public-school student should study about 17–18 subjects, which is highly likely to be an insane number. Moreover, students should differentiate unbiased sources from biased ones during the lessons related to this new subject, which can be difficult, resulting in negative impacts on their future lives. From these perspectives, I do not agree with the given development.
In conclusion, while I accept that international news studies may be in the school curriculum because of the awareness and new words this offers, I believe that this is a waste of time because there are enough subjects in the school’s curricula and a student should distinguish which piece of news they need to know.

**It is believed that secondary school children should study international news as one of their school subjects. Others think that this is a waste of valuable school time.
Discuss both views and give your opinions.***In today's globalized world, being informed about worldwide news is vitally crucial. While some argue that it is somewhat letting time go to waste during the valuable school period, I believe that studying international news should be included as one of the curricula in secondary schools.
On the one hand, the chief reason why I am in agreement with adding international news to the syllabus is that it helps the younger generation nurture their outlook and develop a well-rounded view of the world. Having learned about global events and trends, secondary school students can gain thorough insights into how the world works. That is to say, studying international news can come in handy in developing a sense of responsibility towards global issues such as climate change, poverty, and human rights violations. This can inspire them to take action and make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
On the other hand, those who oppose studying international news would argue that it is a waste of time and resources. They would happen to believe that schools should be dedicated to more practical subjects such as mathematics, science, and language acquisition. Moreover, they come up with some argumentative views that students have easy access to international views through various media channels, and therefore it is irrelevant. Last but not least, those who watch international news may fail to distinguish the circumstances between two countries, and they may have some thoughts of continuing to live there because of the news they hear. This, in turn, may appear to have detrimental effects on students' mental faculties.
To conclude, while the mixture of international news could have negative impacts, I believe that it should be included as one of the subjects in secondary school as long as it assists students in enhancing their critical thinking qualties and broadening students' perspectives*.

*The bar chart provides information about the different expenditures made by five different countries.
Overall, it is significant to note that all countries spent the most money on accommodation, whereas the opposite could be seen in the case of health care. Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that the difference between U.S and Japan were incomparable.
Looking at the diagram in detail, the inhabitants spent the maximum amount of money on housing (25%), followed by the UK, Japan, and Canada, whereas the opposite happened on food expenditure, with Japan spending about 23%, which was higher than that of other nationalities. Interestingly, the UK allocated its one-fifth of its budget to food, while it is less than 15% for the citizens of Canada and the U.S.
In regards to further categories, Canadians spent one-fifth of their income on transportation, which is double that of Japan. Although healthcare costs were not higher than 8% in all nations, they remain higher than those of clothing. Ultimately, a mere difference of 2% is observed between the expenditure on clothing among five distinct nations.*#Bekhruz
