This month has been very very busy. Today we are saying goodbye to an amazing employee and very good friend Star. She will be very missed here at Mixedcandy 😭 Finishing up a lot of things at the monent, setting up a ton of heads so we can wrap up even more projects. We are still needing to respond to everyone who submited for remote work/local work as there is now just 2 of us so responses will be slow during this transition. We are updating the Trello as soon as we finish parts. If you see a check mark it means the piece has been completed. If you do not then it means it either is partially completed or hasn't been started. Trello is kept as up to date as possible and even more so with only 2 of us working here making it easier to check back and see what has been completed. Have been carving down heads, printing, glueing and just setting up bases these past 2 weeks. We will have about 15 heads set up waiting on fur very soon. We were wrapping up work on feet paws to complete things in batches before jumping on everything else. 5 heads need finish work so those suits can ship out, the rest will need to be cut and sewn. During this transition we ask for patience as we finish as much as we can and finish our lists for the year. We plan to open for 2 slots this spring (to be worked on next year as our 2025 year is fully booked) so keep an eye on those. We will have less spots open and less openings in general until we can hire new people :).

Changes are happening soon. We will be saying goodbye to our 2 employees here at Mixedcandy starting February (There are only 4 of us here, it will just be Rosco and I temporarily). Meaning 2 positions will be made available hence the job posting. It is with a heavy heart to say goodbye to not only some of our best employees but best friends I could have ever asked for here at Mixedcandy. We have gone through so much change the past few years and without Star and Uro we would not be where we are at the moment. They have brought so much positive joy to our workspace which we needed more than we thought. We wish them nothing but the best of luck on their next stage in their lives. We love you and will forever miss you both. Rosco and I will always remember these past few years as some of the best we have had in a very long time <3

Our form will remain open until January 31st. We will start responding to people in February. Please understand that all remote positions you must have decent knowledge of fursuit making/pattern assembly. Along with a sewing machine than can handle fur/vinyl and variety of thick fabrics. People who are applying and live local to Central Florida we can teach the basic things we need in person, if you have previous knowledge that is a plus. We have received a lot of submissions so it will take a few days to go over all of them once we start responding. Thanks to everyone who has already submitted we are really excited who will be joining our team soon.
