**❤‍? A happy marriage doesn't need the ideal house, flawless kids, the ultimate job or best car! Just perfect commitments & unconditional love. Here are seven keys to a great relationship: ♥️*

? 1. Good relationship with Allah: Any marriage built on Haram or nurtured with haram is definitely going to be the breading ground for problems. If you keep having problems in your marriage, you the husband and the wife should check your relationship with Allah; there could be something haram you're doing or a compulsory Halal you've abandoned like prayer on time, etc.

? 2- Friendship: Try to be your spouse best friend. No matter what happens, be a friend first, and a lover later.

❤️ 3- Trust: The key element to any relationship is trust, so before starting this beautiful journey with your spouse, learn to trust in all circumstances. A marriage without trust is the foundation of all problems!

❤‍? 4- Understanding: Try to figure out each other and work out on your differences. There are going to be many differences, but it’s mutual compromise and sacrifice which makes this relationship beautiful.

? 5- Communication: Try to talk and convey your message to your spouse. Let your spouse know about how good/bad your day was along with, remind them how you feel for them. When there's proper communication, there's easy identification of challenges and easily resolved.

?6- Honesty: Always speak the truth, never lie or hide things in fear that your spouse won’t understand. Give your spouse a chance to understand you.

?7- Freedom: Give your spouse space and freedom to decide for themselves upon things that are halal. Don’t take away the personal time of your spouse.

When you have practised all of the above, then trust Allah and you will see how beautiful life gets.

Live a happy marriage, have a good relationship with Allah.***

The Wedding Banquet We See Today

Today, we see amongst us imitating the kuffar in their dealings, especially in the aspect of Nikkah, where we have sort of irrelevancies such as;

• Spreading of flowers on the bride.
• Dancing  with the bridesmaid amidst the crowd
• Tossing of Bouquet
• Singing from the wife's friend
• Sitting of the bride and groom at the pulpit created for them to sit, some even to the extent of sitting with the bridegroom and bridesmaids.

This isn't legislated in Islam, it is nothing but the imitation of the kuffar.

We see ourselves singly out a marriage upon Sunnah, is it then sunnah to do the aforementioned? We intellectually  inculcated that with the dictum "Is it wrong to do so?"

Today, the ways of the kuffar are more pleasing to us than the way of the Pious predecessors.

- Where a sister who wears Jilbab wants to wear a wedding gown, abi, sheybi it's only one day.

- Where the brother allows his wife to be on heavy makeup, so he can advertise her beauty.

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

Source: Sunan Abi‌ Da‌wu‌d 4031

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

Isn't this sufficient evidence?

It baffles me to see some of our brethren falling into this saying, "That's what their family wants" Should we then dance to the tune?

Always make your stand clear right from inception with the best manners other than to see uncalled-for scenes on your Nikkah.

- Like taking pictures
- Free mixing
- Husband prostrating for the bride's family
- Music
- etc.

Also, the husband sitting with his wife ain't our way, where she also goes on heavy makeup, some even wearing crown on Niqab, ara me riiri, surprisingly, ok iyawo trousers is above the ankle.

An upright Sunni won't go against the doings of wedding banquets.
