The greatest day in the year is the Day of Arafah. It is when Allah completed the religion for us, perfected His favor upon us, and approved Islam as our religion. This is mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 3.
- ماهيَ أعظم أيه في يَوم عَرفة
﴿الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمْ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا﴾ [المائدة:3].

Many times it happens that you do not engage in backbiting, but you accept it. Sometimes, you do not disobey God, but you sit in a gathering where disobedience occurs. And sometimes, you do not promote Haram and indecency, but you give likes to what has been posted.

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. What a beautiful supplication! Those who have tasted the sweetness of nearness to Allah fear the loneliness of being distant from Him. They ask Allah not to deprive them of the pleasure of His closeness. How many people have come close and then faltered? And how many have turned to Allah and then turned away? They thought that steadfastness was solely in their hands, but Allah prevented them from His door. Indeed, the obedient ones fear leaving their obedience more than the disobedient fear their disobedience.

O Allah, change me as You will, choose for me as You wish. Make my heart attached to You alone, and replace what my eyes see with beauty as You see it. O Allah, I surrender my affairs and myself to You in this world, so make my world as You love, and my hereafter by Your mercy, not by my actions. There is no one for me except You, O Allah. ?

اللهم بحمدك نحمدك ونستعينك ونستغفرك ونعوذ بك من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا، أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت، وحدك لا شريك لك، وأشهد أن محمدًا عبدك ورسولك.

O Allah, with Your praise, we praise You, seek Your help, and seek Your forgiveness. We seek refuge in You from the evil of ourselves and from the bad consequences of our deeds. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except You alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger."

This is a morning supplication that you can recite to start your day with gratitude and seek Allah's guidance and protection.
