Imminency of the rapture
Does the New Testament really teach imminency?
Here are some key passages that I believe teach this truth.
• 1 Corinthians 1:7–“awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,”
• 1 Corinthians 16:22–“Maranatha.” (means Come Lord Jesus)
• Philippians 3:20–“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for
a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;”
• Philippians 4:5–“The Lord is near.”
• 1 Thessalonians 1:10–“to wait for His Son from heaven,”
• 1 Thessalonians 5:9–"For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ"
• Titus 2:13–“looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus;”
• Hebrews 9:28–“so Christ . . . shall appear a second time for salvation without reference
to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.”
• James 5:7-9–“Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. . . . for the
coming of the Lord is at hand. . . . behold, the Judge is standing right at the door.”
• 1 Peter 1:13 “fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ.”
• Jude 21 “waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.”

Psalm 103:8

1. (11-12) The greatness of God’s gracious forgiveness.
   For as the heavens are high above the earth,
   So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
   As far as the east is from the west,
   So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

✨. For as the heavens are high above the earth: This is a description of the abounding mercy of God mentioned in Psalm 103:8. The distance from the earth to the heavens measures the greatness of His mercy toward those who fear Him. By instinct, we often think of God’s mercy as less than it really is.

✨ As far as the east is from the west: This is a description of the great forgiveness of God mentioned in Psalm 103:10. We have no idea if David knew the shape of the earth, but the Holy Spirit who inspired David to write this did, and the nature of the earth and our way of describing directions makes this statement particularly inspiring.

i. As far as the east is from the west is much greater than saying as far as the north is from the south, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. If you travel north on a globe, you begin to travel south as soon as you go over the North Pole. But if you travel east, you will continue east forever. Given the true shape of the earth, east and west never meet – and this is how far God has removed our sins from us!

ii. “As the east and the west can never meet in one point, but be for ever at the same distance from each other, so our sins and their decreed punishment are removed to an eternal distance by his mercy.”🙏🙏🙏

➡️John 14:6 -Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
👉👉Absolutely No Othe Way!!! Only Through Jesus! Don't be deceived!
