Today is the official launch day for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a sequel to the original 2011 sleeper hit game for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. A lot of people are worried about woke influence on the sequel, and that's very understandable. It's being handled by a new developer as well as a new publisher, and it's 2024 - the Chaos entity known as "Woke" has spread its corrupting influence far and wide, bringing Western civilization to its knees. Other, lesser franchises have fallen. Titus and his Ultramarines, however, stand strong - this is a classic Warhammer 40,000 story, through and through. There's no feminism, no LGBT nonsense, and no lectures about modern values of any kind - any morality that comes up is all based on in-universe politics. The Imperial religion and the Emperor are revealed by the human factions, and the only character trying to justify Chaos is a thoroughly corrupt sorcerer. In conclusion - Titus and his Ultramarines stand strong, uncorrupted by Chaos from within their universe, or by the Woke Agenda from ours. The game is also an absolute blast to play and truly captures the mayhem of a Warhammer 40,000 story. I have yet to play the multi-player but I look forward to it. If you're on the fence about this game because you're worried about modern Western game studios (understandably so), fear not. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has earned my deal of approval.
