Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه said:

“The one who abandons the prayer has no religion!”
[Sahīh At-Targhīb: 574]

A man told Imām Abū Ḥanīfah رحمه الله to fear Allāh, and he began shaking and became pale.

Then Abū Ḥanīfah رحمه الله said:

"May Allāh reward you! We need to be reminded of this (constantly)!"

Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله said:

“Perhaps losing what you wanted will cause you to turn to Allah, and getting it will distract you from Him...”

Shaykh Zayd Al-Madkhalī رحمه الله said:

If the devil was expelled and banished from jannah because of his refusal of a single prostration which he was commanded with, how about those who abandon the 5 prayers every day and night, which include 34 obligatory prostrations?
