This time, it's all about the eyes 👀 —the mesmerizing, radiant rainbow eyes that are stealing the spotlight (bet you’ve seen those sneak peeks!). A Magical Makeover 🪄
Now every fusion goes with a 5% chance to get a CAThlete with a unique limited-time attribute - rainbow eyes, no matter what CAThletes you fuse or what’s the rarity of the one you get. The unique rainbow-eye trait can only be obtained through Fusion, and their population in the game is limited to 1500 characters at a time.

⚠️ Rainbow eyes drop starting today, and the effect lasts for 45-day countdown ⏳. However, for the CAThletes obtained prior to update 1.15, the countdown will reset in version 1.15. 📹 WALKEN NEWS FEBRUARY 9, 2024: KEYNOTES

Happy Tuesday, Walken Community! 🤗

It's been about three weeks since we caught up live, and just last Friday, the Walken team returned to YouTube 📹 with a bunch of awesome updates and insights. We discussed the latest releases, answered your burning questions, and dove into some tech talk. It was just a laid-back hangout 😺 with our Walken crew. Missed the stream? No worries! We've got a recap ready, covering everything from technical challenges to what's coming up next - and including some points from the CIS-community stream.

⚙️ Solana Blockchain Outage
On Feb 6, Solana was down, which had an impact on Walken since many in-app actions rely on the blockchain. We discussed how it affected us and what steps we took to ensure user stability and safety. Don’t worry, Walken feels better than ever now. Spoiler alert: we're not planning to switch to another blockchain.
🟢 Updated Fusion
The mechanic is almost good to go and will be part of one of the next updates. The Rainbow-eyed characters are coming, which will have a chance to drop from Fusion only, and their population in the game will be limited. Rainbow eyes and additional abilities will only stick around for a while, after which a CAThlete will go back to looking normal. More details about these rainbow beauties are coming soon!

🏆 Ranks & Updated Tournaments
Your rank will affect the size of the rewards you win in PvP Tournament (Duels and upcoming Isle Clash). The higher you climb, the better the rewards get. And as soon as we've got a bunch of Rainbow CAThletes running around across the game, we will release Tournaments and CG updates.

We've got a few ideas to shake up the ranking system, and we're thinking about rolling out the updated versions in upcoming updates.

🧩 Reward Issues in Walken Blocks
Right now, the devs are hunting down the root cause of this problem. Even though we've looked into cases reported through support and in our communities, we still haven't pinpointed the cause. More info on what’s happening when players try to claim rewards is needed to figure out how to fix this. Please stay tuned!

To enhance your gameplay, we are about to introduce a range of exclusive benefits designed to take your gaming experience to the next level so please stay tuned. It’s in our pipeline, and should be dropping in a week or two.

The roadmap is as follows: an updated fusion to arrive first, followed by an update with tournaments and CGs. The changes are driven by the idea of distributing $WLKN that come from vesting and reinvested tokens more among active players (for example, those who have collected all PvP jars)*.

🏝️ Island TournamentsIt's time to add more adrenaline to island adventures. Tournaments are already in development: 3 leaderboards with rewards in addition to 3 duel leaderboards. And x10 Tournament total reward pool! Spoilers are coming soon, don't miss out.

🏝 Buffs and Debuffs Mechanics in Island Clash
At your request, we will consider an event with hidden buffs and debuffs at the stage of their application to test, compare results, and decide what will be best for the gaming experience.

💸 Push-to-Wallet Limit: Why Once an Hour?
Soon after Walken’s launch, it was introduced to combat cheating and potential system abuse. ✍️ It may be reconsidered in upcoming updates.

🛡️ Rewards in Clan Tournaments
The current version of the clans was created at the request of clan leaders as a more convenient way to keep tournament statistics compared to manual. While the focus is on more important features now, plans to introduce rewards in clans remain in force.

👑 Clothing Items Sets & Bonuses
At the moment, we have a mechanics ready, and there are ideas for each set in the game. They are planned to be gradually implemented in future updates. For example, CAThletes wearing full set ‘Lucky Paw’ (from the Wheel of Fortune) will receive additional PvP bonuses. 😼

With updated sectors and rewards, it awaits development, so expect it in upcoming updates.

TOP community ideas:
🍁 Themed weeks in Walken
CAThlete names are generated by a neural network. We could generate unique names with a reference to different universes or fandoms for characters obtained through fusion 🔽 or breeding 🧬 as limited-time weekly opportunities.

👣 CAThletes for Island Clashes
A mechanic proposed by one clan leader has it that there could be CAThletes that participate only in isle battles. Such characters will not be able to participate in Duels and will not be taken into account for calculating the berry boost. ☝️ However, all the rest of the cats that participate in Duels will be also able to fight in Island Battles. At the moment, the team is analyzing this mechanic and brainstorming various scenarios.

🧬 Remaining islands genes
As one possible development, a kind of “garden beds" on islands for growing Mysberries 🍒, which can be collected in the future, and their amount will depend on the rarity of the gene responsible for this feature.

📊 ALTERNATE TURNS EVENT: EARLY ASSESSMENT

We bet you're excited to get a glimpse 👀 of early alternate turns results and see whether taking turns really matters when it comes to winning chances. No wonder - this was probably the most awaited change to Isle Clashes in the Community 😇 since the feature launch. We can't wait, too! So, two days into this exciting event, we've taken a look at the data and here's what's been discovered so far:

On top of a remarkable surge in participation ⬆️since the start of the Alternate Turns Event, there's an intriguing insight related to winning chances:

💡 Previously, only around 39% of clashes were won by the player who took the initial turn. Now, with the introduction of alternate turns, this has shifted 😼, and currently, around 51% of clashes are won by the player taking the first turn - making it almost 50/50. We're closer to striking a nice balance than ever!

We know that many of you have been eagerly anticipating this change to try this mode, and we're delighted to see you show up! It's amazing to witness such significant changes 😼 in the dynamics of Isle Clash battles during this event! As the event continues, we'll closely monitor the gameplay, analyzing the results and gathering more data.
