We procrastinate because deep down we donât believe that we deserve the success or the sweetness of the achievement. We procrastinate because we are trapped in an age when we couldnât get whatever we wanted.
But you MUST break this fixation on love as the cure to all of your ills. If you found love right now, you would run it straight into the ground in seconds.
In the long run, you will find love. Right now...you need to sign up for art classes, dance classes, yoga, or cooking classesâ or all of the above.
You need to be active and be around people, all kinds of different people, young and old.
You need to practice accepting yourself, with all of your quirks, in the company of other human beings. You need to be open to the world around you.
You need to move through the world by listening to other people, without trying to prove that you're good enough for them. Just exist and be your shy self.
Have lunch, have coffee, and continue to work hard on the things that won't dry up and blow away:
Your health, your career, your little art projects or poems or essays, your odd new half interests, the complicated folds of your sensitivity and your darkness, and your belief in a world that wants you to be happy.
(from Heather Harilesky's response to an Ask Polly letter, published in The Awl)
âThere, right there is the difference between the heroes and the nobodies. The difference between people like you and people like me. People like me know that there is no magic. There is only the grind. Work looks like magic to those unwilling to do it. You say youâre not a hero? Heroes arenât born. You just go out there and grind it out. You fail and you look foolish and you just keep grinding. There is nothing else. There is no âchosen one,â there is no destiny, nobody wakes up one day and finds out theyâre amazing at something. Thereâs just slamming your head into the wall, refusing to take no for an answer. Being relentless, until either the wall or your head breaks. You want to be a hero? You donât have to make some grand decision. Thereâs no inspirational music, thereâs no montage. You just donât quit. You can lie to yourself, say that you never had a choice, that you werenât cut out for this. But deep down, youâll know. Youâll know that humans arenât cut out for anything. We cut ourselves out. Slowly, with a rusty knife. Because, otherwise, hereâs whatâs going to happen: youâre going to die and youâre going to stand at the gates of judgment and youâre going to ask God what was the meaning of it all, and God will say, âI created the universe, you little shit. It was up to you to give it meaning.ââ

It's normal to occasionally feel overwhelmed, apprehensive, or even lost in the constantly shifting terrain of life. You can start to doubt your skills, wonder about your direction in life, or worry about the future. These emotions are very typical and, in actuality, a part of the path that a great deal of other people are on. You're not by yourself.
Everybody experiences periods of self-examination and reflection, questioning their direction in life and their capacity to fulfill their goals. You're allowed to feel this way. It indicates that you have a strong sense of purpose and concern for the future. In fact, these uncertain times can operate as a potent growth-promoting stimulus.
It's OK to pause, look around, and consider where you are and where you want to go while you work through these emotions. Self-reflection is a normal and crucial component of developing oneself. You can identify areas where you might need to grow and develop a deeper awareness of your abilities during these periods.
Realizing that feeling scared or vulnerable is a common human experience can be consoling and uplifting. Similar sensations have been experienced by a lot of people before you, who have grown and gained more self-awareness as a result of these feelings. You can establish a deeper connection with your authentic self and goals through this process.
There are mild actions you can take to make this journey easier to walk, even though it's crucial to honour your sentiments and give yourself the room to feel them. Think about engaging in inner-world-nourishing activities like journaling or mindfulness. Writing in a journal can help you make sense of your ideas and feelings by giving you a safe place to express them. Being mindful can help you feel present and at ease, which will enable you to examine your ideas objectively and acquire insight.
Never forget that it's acceptable to take your time and look for what suits you. Every action you take, no matter how tiny, contributes to your growing self-awareness and acceptance of your individual path. You have the capacity for amazing development and change. Be gentle to yourself, have faith in the process, and remember that you are not travelling this route alone.
So people are so rude, unbelievably rude! They see themselves as God and anyone else a piece of shit!
Stop people, just stop!!
Itâs like Iâm trapped in the box of depression, and when I think it can't get worse, a spider of anxiety shows up.
Some folks are untreatable. They have their therapy sessions, pills, and whatever is required, but their minds never cure. Because they deeply blame their parents, childhood traumas, birth orders, and people but their own shitty behavior. Keep in mind that you heal when you accept. Accept that you're stupid shit, then fix your good-for-nothing nature. Stop wasting more money on therapies to accuse the world of your unfortunate life, and your therapist bears it out! Own your shit, kid!
I can't stop writing. I need a space to share my thoughts, to get rid of them to be more specific. I want to be alone, I want not to be bothered, I want to pack my bag and leave the city. But can I? No! Obviously, I can't. I have my loved ones, my friends, my boys, and my job here; I can't just decide to disappear. But I know I need it, I know this is the only thing that can help me to get better, along with therapy, of course. I feel trapped, so trapped in the body of a human being who needs to be set free. I need to be free.
Some people are pathetic. they canât accept that they are wrong, and itâs pathetic.
I need a ticket to CancĂşn and an Amazon travel set!
