‎Shaykh Ahmed Iid حفظه الله

Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه) said:

من كتم علماً ينتفع به، ألجم بلجام من نار

"Whosoever conceals knowledge of which benefit is derived from, he will be suppressed by a bridle made of Fire."

[كتاب العلم لأبي خيثمة ٥٧]

Shaikh Muqbil رحمه الله said:

“If you wish that Allah blesses you in your knowledge then upon you is to be diligent in conveying it (to others).”

[غارة الأشرطة ٢/٩٨]

Ar-RujoolahMasculinity

My beloved brothers, today it seems everyone and their dog has an opinion on what it means to be a man.

There are many extremes, those who call to “red-pill”, the rainbow advocates who aim to eradicate masculinity abd everything in between.

However we are a nation of balance and the middle path. This is the description given to us by our creator ‏سبحانه وتعالى.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people

Al-Baqarah, Ayah 143

However our balance, our morals don’t come from the people and what they believe to be right. Our balance is our religion chosen for us by Allah and delivered by the prophet ﷺ so thus to understand any matter we should return back to them!

فَإِن تَنَٰزَعۡتُمۡ فِى شَىۡءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِۚ

And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day.

An-Nisa', Ayah 59

That being said, if you want to learn how to be a man, then learn about the best men to walk upon the face of this earth! The prophet ﷺ and his companions ‏رضي الله عنهما

Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

"What really matters are good endings, not flawed beginnings."

(Minhaj as-Sunnah [8/416])

So brothers and sisters, do not despair! Do not become discouraged.

If you haven’t made the most out of the first few days of Dhul Hijjah then strive to do as many good deeds as you can starting from tonight.

It’s never how you start the race, it’s about finishing strong. And this is what differentiates the sincere from the insincere.

May Allah allow us all to benefit from this valuable day.
