A correspondent from the Syrian news network Enab Baladi in southern Syria reported that Israeli forces penetrated up to 200 meters into Syrian territory along the border zone, using bulldozers to level agricultural land, dig trenches, and build dirt embankments as part of the "Storm 53" road project.

The correspondent added that Israel brought in bulldozers and heavy equipment, accompanied by a Merkava tank and a covering force of soldiers, to carry out the trenching operations. The equipment repeatedly entered the area, working from morning until evening, before returning to Israeli territory.

He noted that Israeli equipment is currently operating west of the village of Jubata al-Khashab, beneath one of Israel’s observation posts in the Shehar area. Four machines are digging trenches simultaneously. Approximately every kilometer, the work teams establish fortified observation points with dirt embankments about five meters high.

Israel has not officially commented on this type of movement in Syria, and the official Syrian media has not reported on the entry of Israeli units into its territory. -Nziv
