❗️Note:There are two famous Islamic universities in Saudi Arabia: the Islamic University of Madinah and the Islamic University of Imam in Riyadh. It's pretty clear this email came from the Islamic University of Madinah, since the email address is from their university.

*❗️*Note: The email mentions tuition fees. I inquired about this matter with the registration and admission office of our Madinah university, and they confirmed that the Islamic University of Medina only offers scholarships to international students. Therefore, the information about payment is most likely just a part of a template letter from the "Study in Saudi" portal.

? Over the last week, two universities (Taif University and Hail University) have started sending initial acceptance emails.

❗️HOWEVER, for some reason these emails contain information about the payment procedures (even though the applicants were applying for a scholarship). Perhaps this is just a template email and upon final acceptance, payment will not be required from those who only applied for the scholarship.

Note: On the website there is a requirement for the diploma that says: “Translate the following text into English and make it a bit more presentable without changing the overall meaning, but don't make it overly formal:”. It’s best to fulfill this condition, though from my experience they even accept those who didn’t fulfill this condition.

*?*?*? *Today I talked with the admissions department (of the Islamic University of Madinah) about those emails some of you got saying you were rejected from the Islamic University. Turns out, no one has been rejected!

?To get to the truth we checked the application numbers of those who received that rejection email (that's why in my last post, I asked you to fill out the form and tell me your application number, when you applied, and when you got the rejection email). And turns out no one had an application status of "refused".

❗️The wakeel of the admission department says all applications are still under review. So perhaps these emails were a portal glitch or maybe a rejection from another university.

?Feel free to apply to the Islamic University of Madinah!

P.s. We only checked the status of the applicants that applied from April 21 2024 to this day.

?I asked the deanship of admission and registration at our Islamic University of Medina about the rejetion emails that come to those who have applied recently. I was told that it might be another Islamic University (for example Islamic University in Riyadh).

?Therefore, I came up with the idea that I would take the application number of some applicants who applied to the Islamic University of Medina in 2024, go to the deanship of admission and registration and we would check on the spot whether the Islamic University of Medina really sent them a refusal.

?To do this, I ask those who have applied to the Islamic University of Madinah and have already been rejected to fill out this form (I only need 7-8 applications as I will not be able to ask about the status of each application), then on Wednesday inshaAllah I will go to the deanship of admission and registration and we will find out whether the Islamic University of Madinah has really rejected some applicants, or whether it is just a glitch of the portal inshaAllah.
