Ghosts
Where do we get the idea of ghosts? — from people who know nothing about the psyche. If our children could only hear the truth of the psyche they wouldn’t be frightened by ghosts. But our stupid society excites them with spooks, and frightens them with notions of the bad or fearful, instead of giving them the truth, which is the good.

This is what you must communicate to the child: ‘There is another place called the psychic world. Sometimes things from there travel here, to our world. But theirs is not a physical world so they have no actual existence. If you ever meet anything like that in your bedroom at night remember it cannot do you any physical harm. Nothing that ever appears in a vision in front of you can ever touch you. And you must not be afraid of it, for if you get emotional you will give it strength from your fear.’

Most people (scientists particularly) know nothing about the psychic world because they’re too busy with their mortgages and their computers to discover the truth about love, life, truth, death and God. If the media and the scientists were not so ignorant of the psychic world, the people would be much less afraid and would not pass on so much fear to their children.
