This appreciation post is dedicated to all of my bright, awesome and unique students! ✍?

How superficial might it sound, but I genuinely believe that I am extremely fortunate to have them. It is like a beautiful bouquet of flowers I get to receive every time, as if somebody ? has been meticulously picking up the finest ones for me. ?I am surrounded by young, energetic and self-aware students who know what they want from life and ready to take on the world’s challenges. They are hardworking, sometimes lazy, ? determined, ? and funny. ? They greet me with a smile on their faces, brightening up my day from the early morning. They complement me, generously showering me with kind words, which sometimes can be the only thing that keeps me warm on these cold days. They often treat me with cookies, fruit, sweets, stationary items, certificates of recognition, books and flowers, which I find extremely sweet. I especially like their cute notes that they leave on my desk or board. ? Frankly, it is not about material values of those gifts. I perceive them as tokens of their attention. In fact, the thought behind those actions counts more.

If you ask me, our relationship is a two-way street. They also teach me a great deal, even though they might not realize it. I acknowledge that I might be crabby sometimes, ? and my words might hurt them. For my defense, it’s nothing personal and I guess it has something to do with that fact that I have high standards both for myself and for everything I do. They are my wake-up call, oftentimes making me reconsider and analyze my actions. I can’t deny the fact that sometimes they make me angry by being irresponsible, ?but hey, who doesn’t have those episodes from time to time, right? All in all, we try our best to find the common ground and resolve problems peacefully. They teach me patience, help me to keep an open mind and provide me with fresh perspective on certain aspects.

What fascinates me most is that they never judge me in the face of adversity, on the contrary, I always receive their support, encouraging comments, and most certainly, tight hugs! Not surprisingly, by teaming up towards a common goal, we connect on a level that facilitates our interaction and stimulates communal efforts. We always try to lift each other up while going through thick and thin side-by-side. They share their worries, problems and seek guidance. Each of their stories is unique and worth to be heard. ? They shine like a thousand stars, ✨ each with their own features and imperfections that make them perfect in their own way. Each of them struggles the battles of their own and I can’t help but admire their courage, perseverance and determination. ? They see in me a guiding light, which adds up more responsibility for my actions and words.

I am particularly fond of those moments when they impress me with their performance. ? I can’t resist pampering them like a father who cherishes his children. ? Their enthusiasm fuel me, prompting me to become engrossed and fully invested in the process. It literally gives me goosebumps to find myself in the sweet anticipation of their results. Their achievements bring me immense joy, probably in a bigger scale than I would rejoice for my own victories. They are so driven and full of life that it instinctively propels me towards self-development.

Naturally, I become immensely sad when they spread their wings and we have to part ways. ? However, I feel nothing but gratitude for each moment we spend together, and those memories we create will be forever etched in my mind. ?
