It has begun. The demise. The demise of these little lights,
The fireflies that once lit the confined space.
One by one, they are dying.
And when darkness prevails, life will end too.

Then, nothingness will begin.
Someone will make their way to the dump yard
To discard the empty vessel.
The disdain for the dump yard
Is merely a disguise for the hatred of what emptied the vessel.

Yet the worst of all remains forgetting
How the contents of the vessel once tasted.

Silent Pleas

Is someone there?

Please silence those noises that burn my ears and disturb my peace of mind.

Why do you do this, human? Just why? The irony is, I am one of your kind.

I wish I wasn't. I know I don't belong. Yet, what gives you the right to make me feel alien? I am far away from those shallow mirages—the only thing you live for.

They say I am a facade. They say I am a lie. But how would you understand, human, that those do not taint my white.

The multitudes, they say, I feel them inside. You are unaware of the depths of the ocean I carry in my eyes.

My fault is just that I am in the wrong place. But you act as if I had a choice. My mind tells me every time that I should stop these futile tries. But he says to me to wait for a while. What's meant for me will find me over time, and my heart seems to trust him as much as my mind.

Your untainted intentions have eternally shaped your perspective,
Turning the world into a flawless place to reside.
But I must remove my glasses from my eyes,
For I can't see it clearly with my mind alone.
Gradually, I'm losing myself, sensing my inner world unraveling.
But why haven't you lost your sanity? I ask myself often.

The little space you offer is a haven for me,
A place where I long to hide forever beneath your protective wings,
Until my final breath.
You embody everything one could desire—comfort, caregiver,
A shoulder to lean on, a friend, a sense of home,
And even a dramatic entertainer, to make it all more complete.
