Yu-ka: I started working on the song with Toru from ONE OK ROCK, who composed and arranged it, in a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, like, "Let's have a jam!" The fifth song, «Sunshade», was also created with Toru, and I thought it was interesting that these two songs contrasted as well. «Sunshade» is about an umbrella (sun), and «Tsuraikurai» has a lot of rain umbrella references. `And «kurai (cry)» is also an interesting part of the tie-in with «shade».

— It's a beautiful song that, along with the rain, reminds you of your past love, but do you remember the conversation you had with Toru during the production process?
Yu-ka: I remember the conversation we had about our views on love. Keeping in mind the parts of the song, I think my goal is to imagine the story behind it and write it down, but I've always had trouble figuring out who the main character in the story is and who the other person is. When I consulted Toru, we ended up talking about love (laughs). Since this was a collaboration (co-production of music), I think the overall atmosphere of this song was created not only by putting lyrics over the melody, but also by the different ways we interacted with each other from our casual conversations. While having respect for this song, which contains a fragment that is very important to Toru, I added my own response to it in the lyrics of the last chorus, and looked for a point on which we both agree on.
